Character Analysis

    Welcome to Character Analysis!

Here, I will be discussing, and researching characters from different Video Game franchises. A new character analysis will be added every wensday, so today, I thought I would really start things off with probably one of the most cliche female characters of all time.

    Peach. Princess Peach.

Alright so you know who Peach is, the first of many female Characters in the 80s, in fact, was probably the first, love interest of Mario, and one of the most generic damsels in distress. But... is she really in peril?

The princess is captured in like almost every single game it seems, but after the first three kidnappings, you would think the plumber with the stace and the princess of diaper kids would formulate some sort of protection from Bowser.

Nope. They seemingly don't prepare, and Mario doesn't fully react when his princess is captured, and in some cases, is blasted into space, into trees, or blamed for polluting and trashing Delfino Plaza. After a while you start to think, does Peach really want to be captured? Is she tired of being with the plumber, or wants the thrill of being kidnapped?

What's even weirder is that she is perfectly fine playing board games, going karting, and playing tenis with her kidnapper, and not even Mario cares WHAT?! It seems to be clear Peach actually plans these kidnappings, that's right. I'm saying all of these kidnappings are staged. Take a look in Super Mario Galaxy, while Bowser is literally bombing her precious kingdom, she just stays at the balcony, with nothing prepared against the giant turtle who then summons a UFO to capture Peach, and she just stares at it. No running away, just stares. Now I don't know if this is out of fear or not but she is captured on a regular baises, so you'd think she would be prepared for one of Bowser's schemes.

In fact, in Super Mario Bros 3, the intro shows a curtain opening and you think, "Oh cool intro Ninetendo," but then if you examine closely...

The platforms are either screwed into the sky and cast shadows on said sky, platforms are hanging from the ceiling by wires and you don't know what's holding then up, and when you reach the end of a level, it's basically black on usually a wooden floor. This whole game is staged, literally.

In fact, Peach may be a perfect candidate for a certain syndrome that makes her alright with the fact that she is being held captive, and has positive feelings for said kidnapper. So all of this makes it seem more and more likely that Peach is the real "villain" here, worrying an entire kingdom and her boyfriend just for the thrill of being kidnapped.

Peach also seems to be bipolar in personality. While she is very perky most of the time, when she looses a game or is upset, her emotions take a HUGE u-turn. In Super Princess Peach, you fight enemies by using emotions,

When she cries, she can stop a drought,

When she is happy, she flies like she doesn't need Pixie Dust

Angry, she eclipses into flames and BURNS EVERYTHING AND EVERYOE IN HER PATH!!!

People who are bipolar also tend to eat a lot, and Peach makes and eats so, much, cake.

In fact... Maybe she gets too excited... Baby Bowser calls her Momma in some games and you often wonder how Bowser managed to have a son and how most of the Toads still look like kids except for Toadsworth. Maybe because of a little something something happening between the Koppa King and the Mushroom Princess?

So what is Peach? A bipolar princess who stages her own kidnappings and loved to have some thrills in both kidnapping and love.

Now please take into account that I'm not trying to make it sound like Peach truly is like this, and also take this with a grain of salt, but all of this does seems to show she could be like this.

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed this, and if you have any requests for characters that I should analyze, don't be afraid to send me a PM, and if you have any other analyses, don't be afraid to post em!

XD *Talks like Edna Krebappel* Princess Peach is bipolar. HA! That is a laugh! <_< But I don't think why someone like her would even want to plan their own kidnapping (Doesn't make any sense and puts Mario and everyone else into so much stress). She's just a Mary Sue to me but I do enjoy playing as Princess Peach in the Super Smash series and there are the Paper Mario games where you can take control of her... if only they can actually start doing that to Princess Peach in letting her be more playable for adventures and not just being there for racing games and all of the sorts. That is why Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time and the Fat Princess (Which I didn't even realize she exist until Playstation Battle-Royale) is better... And this is why I do not want Kairi to turn up like another Princess Peach.

I was thoroughly entertained by this. I can't wait to see more of them. Maybe we should have a spotlight on the main site for more blurbs like this one.
