In a world where all living creatures are an endangered species, except for humans, the animals are being hunted down by one thing, and one thing only. There's only one beast that can save the destruction of the animal kingdom: the majestic wolf. The only problem is that wolves are nearly extinct, and are possibly one of the first beings to die out. The ancestors have given out a prophecy; a prophecy stating that only a white wolf with the mark of the crescent moon eclipse can save the animals from disappearing. Are you brave enough to enter this battle for survival and discover the cause of the beginning of the animal kingdom's demise?

A lone white wolf wandered the streets of New York, traveling down alleyways to avoid the curious stares of humans. The black collar he wore bore a diamond that matched the color of his sapphire-blue eyes. The crescent moon shaped scar on his right eye looked fresh, even though it was given to him many years ago. This was Chidarake, a wolf who had spent almost his entire life with a young human girl, for his pack was killed by a monster when he was only two months old. Chidarake, once old enough to care for himself, started wandering the streets of New york, pledging to himself to forever remain alone. But today, that would all change...

 

Chidarake was hungry. Even though he'd lived in New York long enough, food was hard to get. He traveled down the alleyway, searching for something edible when a strange scent reached his nostrils. He swung his white head to the left and noticed a hole in the wall, and that scent was coming from it. Chidarake took a deep breath and stepped through the hole to reveal a forest on the other side. That's strange. I've never seen this before. he thought to himself.


Meanwhile, a young wolf cub came from the streets of the stinky city. He received a few pets and many kicks from the no-furs, but he didn't care. Ika, separated from his pack as a pup, learned to live the rough life of a New York stray. He traveled away from the city to come into the woods. And as he entered, he noticed a young white wolf standing there. It looked like it wanted to go into the city, but he could see fear in its eyes. So, like the friendly pup he was, Ika padded over to the other wolf.

 

Chidarake heard the roar and came running down a hillside to see a young white wolf hiding behind a tree. About five feet away was a young brown wolf cub. He took a pawstep towards the other wolf, but when it let out another roar, the wolf cub froze. He showed no fear, but the kindness in his eyes turned into that of confusion. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." the wolf cub said calmly. Chidarake lay down and watched with interest.

 

Ika titled his head to one side. "What do you mean? I'm just trying to be nice." Chidarake sighed and stood. This pup had no idea what this other wolf was talking about. But he did. He started padding forward.

 

"It's what humans do. They fall in love with something when they're little, and when they grow up, they look at that thing in disgust." Chidarake said through telepathy. "I lived with a human when my pack was destroyed. She kept me until I was old enough to wander on my own. I left before she could start doing what your human did to you."
Ika looked at Chidarake in awe. "Is that why you have that collar?"
"Yes." he answered, still not taking his eyes off of Seira.
"How come you're speaking with telepathy, and speaking in yips like other wolves?"
"That's none of your business!" Chidarake snapped.
"But can you speak to other animals, too? Even humans?"
"Yes, now get lost, kid."

 

Ika didn't even flinch at Chidarake's behavior. "What if I don't want to get lost?"
Chidarake just rolled his eyes and looked back at Seira. "Are you hungry? I can get you some food?"
"Really?"
"Not you, but I guess so."
Ika wagged his tail in excitement. "Awesome! I'm Ika, what's your name?"
The white wolf looked at Ika. "I'm Chidarake." He turned back to Seira. "And who are you?"

 

Ika didn't even flinch at Chidarake's behavior. "What if I don't want to get lost?"
Chidarake just rolled his eyes and looked back at Seira. "Are you hungry? I can get you some food."
"Really?"
"Not you, but I guess so."
Ika wagged his tail in excitement. "Awesome! I'm Ika, what's your name?"
The white wolf looked at Ika. "I'm Chidarake." He turned back to Seira. "And who are you?"

 

For the first time in 10 years, ever since he left Leah, Chidarake smiled. Ika wagged his tail. "So, with your special ability of telepathy, are you gonna ask the humans to give up some food?"
"No, um..."
"Ika"
"Ika, no, I am not going to talk to humans, not yet. But, we need to find some food first before we come up with a plan." He looked at Seira. "Do you want to hunt in the forest, or scrounge around in the city?"

 

Chidarake nodded. "We can help you get some food. Come on." He started walking towards the forest. Ika looked at Seira. "Ladies first."

 

Ika came up to the other side of Chidarake. "So, are we a pack now?"
Chidarake looked at Seira. "We might as well be, if you want to, that is."
