Disney/America's Death Note Movie

    Well I'm not really sure if this is true but I have heard of rumors that Disney wanted to make their own version of Death Note using Zac Efron as Light Yagami and Miley Cyrus as Misa Amane. I thought of this as pretty absurd with why Disney would use those actors for a darkish type of movie. I'm hoping that these "rumors" are just propaganda to scare fans or try get non-fans to become interested with big stars (I think they're big stars).
    I find it a big insult to Death Note, its original producers and fans if this were going to happen.

    Anyway, whats your attitude towards this idea if the rumors were true?

    I can't confirm it. This is the first time i've heard of such a thing.

    That would be one of the biggest insults to death note. As much as I hate Light, Zac Efron!?! Ew no. Same goes for Miley Cyrus.

    I hope they don't make something like that.

    i can comfirm that these rumors are WRONG! they are not using zac and miley but two other people for L and light. i forgot who so as soon as i know i will post it. im not sure about misa though.

    Disney CANNOT make a Death Note movie, it's just too violent and dark for a disney movie. It'd be like R or PG:13

    I think disney should be alot more darker than they are now. Whatever happened to the good old days of Sleeping Beauty, Hunchback of NotreDamn, Alladin, Little Mermaid and such. They were good movies. Now all we see is Hannah the stupid and Zack the singing jockey.

    Disney get back to your basics, which is cartoons and real life movies that are about adventure. If you make a death note movie then Don't Fuck it Up. (Pardon my language but it's true.)

    Well, i've seen Death Note movie (japanese) and it's pretty cool. Hope Disney wouldn't screw it up.

    Maybe an anime for it first, see how that goes, if it goes well then maybe move on to a live action film or fully 3D CG the anime. (I know, an anime is already CG but I'm talking about "fully 3D CG" like game cutscenes)

    they are planning on making a kingdom hearts anime with disney since theyre finished with making final fantasy anime.

    Disney made a Final Fantasy Anime? And I wasn't notified?
    <sigh> I miss the old Disney, like The Lion King and Mulan.

    I think disneys has its limits, or should have its limits. I love classic disney, but this 'new disney' i personally think its spoiling everything. I don't know if any of you live in the Uk, but has anyone seen the new layout for the disney stores? There's barely any of the classic walt disney things. Instead it's been taken over by highschool musical and Hannah montana.

    Maybe because the rating of those films. Well, since the "new" disney wanted to showing that they could not only to make some "Animated films".
    But that's done too far (infact, i dislike Highschool musical)
