These are pretty good for self taught models

:O Did you did this with 3DS Autodesk Max or Maya? EIther way, I LOVE YOU! I thought that I was the only one who use this program on this site.

Picture 1: I can tell what objects you used to make the eyes and such but I am very curious about what you used to make the hands. Rayman is cool.

Picture 2: Smooth and shine on the brown pool. Realistic and clean.

Picture 3: Nice gray background and you did good making the Monster can. A tutorial that I know shows how to make a can so I do believe that it is simple.

Picture 4: Hm... I wouldlike to see more in the room. I see the table but that is it. The details is clean so I really like that.

As for Avalantos trying to say about Maya is being used more in industries, let me correct that. 3DS max is being used as much as Maya but mostly because it is similar and it is free. They are still the same but Max is more for modeling and Maya for animation. Don't just use Maya but get both if you can.

actually, being in the industry I know that maya is used more, it has a better intergration with zbrush, max was used more a few years ago but is a bit outdated as zbrush is the way forward after basic modelling in maya.
It is also free if you have a student license.

Thanks you for your compliments :) as for the room i did plan to put more in the room and actually make it a bit more "dirty" looking but it was a school project and i ran out of time sooooo ^^'
also Avalantos i guess it depends on what country you live in, on what gets used more often.
I live in Denmark btw and as i was going around searching for an internship one of the leaders said that they use 3dsmax way more in Denmark than Maya.
Either way i do plan on learning as many programs as possible i do believe it gets easier once you have the basics down :) a thing im still struggling with ofcourse but i feel like im getting there.

    answering some questions :D

I actually just used a square and just kijda build my way around it, then i finally used smooth on it so it looked "organic"

thanks :) i actually like this model the least i kinda fucked up the table i think xD

Picture 3: Nice gray background and you did good making the Monster can. A tutorial that I know shows how to make a can so I do believe that it is simple.

suprisingly enough i didn't follow a tutorial i kinda just fucked arounf with different materials and ended up with a neat shiny metal texture ^^ luckily for me cuz this was a part of my exams project :D
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

oh and yes i do use maya :) Autodesk Maya 2010 to be precise, i found 2012 to be very buggy :/

They should have 2013 Maya right now.I just updated my 3ds Max 2012 to 2013. I still have my student license. ^_^ And you used a box to make the hand? Sweet! I might try to work on a hand myself. Always wanted to try out something.
