Yea im on the last episode right now. This thing really hit home with me because i used to immerse myself in online gaming. a world where no one knew you or could judge you. i don't have any type of story written up so we can brainstorm. im taking ideas.

I should probably get around to watching it. Kinda finishing up the Fall anime season and getting ready for the Winter season.

I'm all for this, but I'd at least like to point out that I've tried making a .hack RP a few times before (What with .hack being somewhat similar to SAO) and each time it died.

... I want to give a story plot but... I am incorporating some elements from Alfheim Online into this plot. Anyway,

Plot: With the VR expanding more and more, many players are flocking to the game as though there is no like tomorrow. The Virtual World improved, many mechanics were added and with the end to the permanent killing of players to those in the real world, the game prospered and many individuals followed their hearts desired within the virtual world of Sword Art Online. Many other games became successors to it and the VRMMORPG flourished all over the world. Gamers test their skills against each as they cross other from game to game to test their mettle, escape the reality of life, anything to their hearts content. That is not to say... that it will last for a lifetime.

As it was getting closer and closer to maintenance, one of the cyber technicians have realized that there was an attack on the World Seed. As many technicians ran in to try and save the World Seed, they encountered three beings, humans who are actually viruses. With all of their might, they try to protect the World Seed, the base and foundation of all of the VRMMORPG worlds. Regardless of their divine efforts, the viruses brutally weakened their efforts and stole the World Seed. With the World Seed in the hands of what the three viruses would eventually be known as the Malverters. Using the power of the World Seed, the group pushed maintenance ahead of time to trap the players who didn't log out beforehand within the game, sending those in reality to fall into a coma state.

With the power of the World Seed, the Malverters used its power, trying to merge all of the VRMMORPG games together in order to have one unity and one complete rule. Since then, the world of Sword Art Online became corrupt and the Malverters sent many viruses and bugs across the games, infecting many players, either to destroy them or control them and completely change them so there will be no hope to save them. Their mission: To infect the VRMMORPG games so that they can spread their power to other online games, thereby taking over the whole internet world. With the VRMMORPG game slowly merging, many players had no choice but to defend themselves, fighting against those who were infected by the virus. Not all is lost however...

One of the cyber technicians ran to Cardinal before the evil group came to take over it. Using his knowledge, he created a defense mechanism and sent it away so that it can grow and prosper in order to combat the Malverters in two forms. Is there a way to stop the Malverters? What kind of form did the defense mechanism took the appearance of?

i like it but. i don't like the idea of the Viruses. i'm a bit indifferent at the moment. Not sure if we should take a route of Season 1 or Season 2. where you cannot log out, if you die in the game you die in real life. or should we go the ALO route were its more tied to logging out with real life issues affecting the virtual world issues. which would create a more realistic in depth experience.

    Still willing to brainstorm here.

My vote is for the cannot log out option. It simplifies things and makes it easier to keep cohesion amongst the members of the RP.

Muugh... I liked the idea of an evil group... -_- There needs to be an antagonist and the Malverters only consists of three people.
