Fighting Game Type Roleplay/Tournament Recruitment

So, I'm kind of in the mood to get some sort of Arena swing going in this section by holding a tournament, or otherwise kindling something up in the Original section that centers around a a similar event. Either avenue would pretty much lead to something comparable Streetfighter in terms of character molds. The original idea, well.... I'd prefer to liken it more to a Killer Instinct plot, save the absence of a global mega corporation pulling the strings.

Which way does everyone's wheel seem to be turning?

 

The background of the KI series is that the fighting is part of a tournament hosted by the world-dominating mega-corporation Ultratech, for which they bring in Earth fighters to combat/test their creations/discoveries (IE bloodthirsty robots, genetically engineered monsters, and beings plucked from other dimensions.

The people that enter typically do so as part of a larger aspiration on their part, usually out of a grudge against Ultratech or another combatant, or some enticement on Ultratech's part.

Basically the idea would be that a full RP would establish the tournament as the setting in which deeper plots develop.

 

Hopefully more people will come around that think so.
