I first learnt about classic G.I Joe from the Internet. It is awesome. A few years ago I checked out the latest series. It was alright. The quality of animation is far less than it was at Sunbow. My favorite character is Scarlet.

There is a new movie. I do not like Cobra Commander's new helmet. The crew says they changed it because "the original looks too much like the KKK". Fans argue that Cobra Commander is the evil terrorist, thus has the right to look evil.

Ahaha! I remember GI Joe cartoon in the late nineties. Then they replaced it with that Max Steel character (Take it to the Max, Max Steel!).
I remember the episode where he was in outer space helping some people in a rocket about some sort of damage on the ship. Then his partner had a hole in his space suit and was unable to breathe. GI Joe swings to heroism by patching the hole up with one of my best friends, Tape. Then the damage on the rocket opened up, his tape didn't work so they welded it shut just in time before the people in the rocket could die. Then the baddies came and I had to go to school, so everything is blank after that.

A movie about it sounds interesting, are they able to pull off a live action film about a figurine from over 60 odd years ago to life. I might try get my hands on it or watch it for good times or ha ha's but might not take it seriously enough as I'm not a huge fan of block buster (assuming it's going to be a blockbuster type film).
Thanks for mentioning about the movie ^^

The 1980s were not 60 years ago. You should go to the site I am Staff on, almost everyone there grew up with G.I Joe. The star of G.I Joe is Duke. His girl is Scarlet. And yes those original action figures could be worth something.

Really? I read somewhere the figurine came out around 1964 titled as "America's Moveable Fighting Man" where it then turned into comics, Cartoon Series and video games in the 80's. Well I could be wrong and you could be right. You seem to be an expert on this subject, in a good way.

The original action figures came out in 1964. Hasbro releases new toylines every year. The G.I Joe we know and love debutted in 1984. The Movies for G.I Joe and Transformers were created to destroy the toyline. The folks at Sunbow did not know they were killing cultural icons. I love the animation at Sunbow. It was all hand drawn.
