That's an awesome idea, but also it might have a set back. For some people, they might leave because they think it's ridiculous that you have to post stuff to play the arcade games. That is a good idea though, but we might want to think about a better Cause and observe the Effect

 

And it's good because it would be annoying for someone to get an unbeatable highscore then just be one of those members who joins and never comes back

 

Ya, its a good idea. But we don't want the arcade to be the central of attention. Its more Kingdom Hearts than Arcade. For now, we need ppl to join(that's what i heard a thread days ago).

 

ummm... i disagree. you see, if this is done, then n00bs will spam alot just so they can play games.

 

Isn't like that already? Don't people need to have 10 posts to play the arcade?

I know. On my first day, I made at least 20. And besides, couldn't one of the Mods get rid of spam posts?

 

I think Sovieto is right. This is based on more Kingdom Hearts then the arcade.As soon as we get more members and do other stuff to the site, we can get back on this idea.

 

i think the arcade should stay how it already is. fact is, this isnt an arcade games forum =/

 

ofcourse its not, but here i dont see many people playing the arcade, infact, there are more making suggestoins and conversations toward Kigndom Hearts.

 

Im not playing that much in the Arcade System. I only play if there is a way to beat the highschore. That's the only matter i intend to play. But other than that, i care more the Forum than the Arcade System itself.

 

Nice ideas guys and both ideas have their own problems. When you put post counts into place yes you will get spammers but more importantly it turns people away from the site. Letting people in for free so that they can experience the site is an excellent way for them to stay longer.

usually if someone stumble across us, sees we're a friendly place and the site doesn't have the usual barriers and restrictions that most sites have they honestly do stick around, Its worked for me many times on other sites.

So for the arcade I don't intend on making restrictions, mainly because there are plenty of other places to play the latest arcade games. The arcade is really just a social thing for our forum posters and thats how i see it

Im not against post count restrictions but just think the arcade doesn't need it. For the custom user titles I do think it would be good. So 1000 posts to get a custom user title or something like that. Im currently playing with a mod that lets you buy custom user titles from a shop, I will keep you all updated on how that goes.

 

I like that idea, although as far as I know, only three people who aren't mods have gotten over 1000 posts.
