Graphic Clans

    To bump up some activity and stir up the pot. I'd like to hear your thoughts on Graphic clans. i have the idea already thought out but i'd like your feedback. afterall it wont be possible without any of you.

    It would break down like this.

    You'd have your Clan leader of course and other members.
    Clans would have Wars for points, These points would decide the top clans of the month. You could do 1V1 Wars with your best artist, 5v5, handicap rules, etc the pallet for this is immense. Don't let the level of skill scare any of you. No one became a god in a day.

    Practice is the key to any Profession.

    I like the idea of having battles. Is there some prize in mind? Only, if you're gonna be earning points, or fighting a war, there should be a reward, I reckon.

    As long as the deadline for when pieces are due is far enough in advance that I have time to make something, I'm in.

    Yea, we would have deadlines in place for the battles, i'm sure we can figure out some sort of reward eventually, though i think recognition should be enough for now.

    Just a question, if you're a clan leader, can you decide who joins, what the name of the clan is, and what that clan does?

    So, we need to know this:

    1. Time limit to make the picture in the battle.
    2. The rules for the clans.
    3. How to set up a clan.
    4. What the tournament's point system will consist of.
    5. The max number of members for a clan to have.
    6. What type of tournament (Signature, avatar, wallpaper, Collab, profile background, etc)
    7. What type of prize (Rep, awesome picture, shown on the Clan History Winners Link)?
    8. The rules for the tournaments.

    See thats just it, you guys are putting to much emphasis on rules that staff makes its all the rules they want to make. they decide the tournament types, they decide the time limit. All these things are left to them not us as a staff.

    Making a clan is just as easy as starting a thread. label it the name of your clan and get to recruiting its really that simple.

    There is no max number they can join as much as they please. if you want lots of details results i got this idea from Planetrenders. go check out there forum and look at there graphic clan set up.

    It is best to ask all of this now than to go down the line and start having some type of confusion on all of this. From your view, everything is in the hands of the clans and not the staff? Now that is an understandable answer.

    I think its that simple as Vox puts it.

    Clan leaders sets the rules of their own clan. Then if clans want to battle, the clan leaders discuss the terms. There shouldn't be confusion for joining members.

    Exactly! its up to them. all staff needs to do is really nothing. everything is left up to the members. im trying to mold this place similar to the GFX area of KHI where everything runs on its own and the staff doesn't have to babysit and watch over it. its run by its members for its members.
