Ok,so we have all played atleast one Kingdom Hearts game here.We have also gotten stuck somewhere. Many of us also replay the games, for fun or to do some of the extra stuff we didnt do before. So your first playthrough, you get to something,a specific area,a boss, something, and it beats you, repeatedly. Then when you replay it becomes easy, sometimes really easy!

Was it really so hard in the first place,we wonder?

Well, for this thread I would like to know if you guys, for any game, had a moment like this.A moment that was so hard at first, but so easy another time through.

For me it was in CoM,the second Axel fight. For some reason he kept on murdering me like it was nothing! I actually had to get to the level 80s before I could beat him! Then when i play again on another save,I beat him the first time through at half the level.I felt like an idiot,he wasnt that tough!I had more trouble with him then Hook the first time through, and it was the opposite on that second try!Well, almost opposite.

well in kh1 that last fight against Riku, when he uses the fake keyblade, is always tough for me. never changed when i had the game. no matter what i always die once or twice to him.

the second Larxene fight was annoying for me, mostly cause i had to get used to fighting without thunder. i'd love to zap my enemies but zapping her healed her up. switched to an all keyblade deck and ran through her.

in kh2, the fight against Xigbar was always hard for me the first time through on that difficulty. then after gaining two or three levels and trying again i would win no prob.

    In KH II, Xaldin.

The first time, he destroyed me. Mickey had to save me repeatedly, and even with that, I still kept losing. At the end when I finally won, Mickey had actually had to save me twice in the same fight. o_O

The second time I played the game, I was expecting a slaughter, and beat Xaldin on the first try. I felt really stupid.

Another one,and one that almost was,for KH II

Luxord really screwed with me.It took me three tries the first time to beat him,and even then it was just barely. The second time through, beat him in one.THough when I played again about half a year later it took two tries. He is one of the harder bosses for me,but fun now.

Saix almost had me like like this the first time through. Then I got Final Form.It didnt kill him,but it kept me alive long enough to take off some pressure and then take him down.He isnt that hard anymore.

    It's called. . . .

    GAMERS HIATUS

It's a magical condition caused by the absence of one game for any one period of time, allowing the game to become easy for you!

While that did help me in Sonic the Hedgehog 2,I ment more like playing it again within a week or less, though longer period times are of course also welcomed.Thats what happened with me for all three of these fights.Doesnt make all games easier as it is,but I leave that to paranoia.

Most of the brick wall bosses like Demyx and Xaldin got killed the second time around alot quicker then I expected. Stupid younger me never knew I was supposed to use Knocksmash for everything.

First playthrough, Riku, the last time. 'Could not, for the life of me, get past him. I literally learned the entire scene before the battle word by word since SE conveniently left out the option to skip scenes in the first one..

Second time around the block, I whip his 'hula-skirt-wearing-butt ' all thanks to the magics of guard, aeroga, and glide. Apparently I never thought to use it the first time around..

I had this happen twice. I had it happen to me in re:CoM with the Vexen battle. With the battle I fought and fought and fought then put the game away for a long while sort of giving up on it. Like 3 weeks later I got it out again and forgot about the vexen battle when I moved forward. I paniced remebering and expecting to die, but to my surprise I actually won.

Then in KH1 Maleficent battle(now granted it was a time span of 3rd grade to 5th grade) actually the parenthesis says it all basically. :\

Haha, so you're saying that as you got older and began to replay the old games you once thought hard, you developed better playing instincts and strategies. What amazes me is that despite how old this game is - it came around 2003, correct? - we still play it with as much vigor. I find that truly amazing about the series.

main reason KH series is so great. the gameplay is still solid, despite being last gen it stands proudly above a lot of current gen

Definitely the series certainly stands out amongst a lot of traditional video games and attracts players who love and appreciate disney, those who feel nostalgic playing with their favorite characters final fantasy and disney, and those who can appreciate a good storyline and ignore the cheesy-ness of the moments at times.

The game really does garner a lot of attention and reputation, good and bad.
