I was wondering what else to make... and then I thought of Lamman Rucker. He is one of my favorite actor so I thought real long and hard as to what I wanted to do with him in my pictures. I did not want to do anything complex since I relaly did not do any real-life pictures since my "Peaches & Cream" wallpaper. I really want to make more signatures of him and maybe even wallpaper. However, "Hey Sexy" came to my mind because to me, he reminds me of a gentleman I think who knows how to treat women right. So far, I made three signatures that are of different colors.

<_< I feel bad about the first one. This is more like a remake for the second one. I really wanted him to blend in but then I got something different so I had two decisions: Just slap him on there or attempt to merge and blend him in to the best of my abilities. I chose the latter. I really like the smudging so that I can extend his afro out a lil bit. I believe that my second picture is better than the first one even though there is not a lot in there. The third one I really wanted to see if it would look better if I were to change the color. It did really to me.

I think all three of these needs improvement. For one, the image is not well blended into the background. You can tell how the photo was originally cropped by the way the one shoulder just cuts off. A different placement may have helped.

On the first and third ones, the brushwork, or texture, or however it was accomplished, obscures the guy's face and is distracting.

All three are very bland in their backgrounds. There's a little texture, but the neutral color choice just gives me a sense of sameness, and the rendered image doesn't stand out.

I think you've definitely made better, but keep practicing.

Wasn't cut off. Picture looked like it is. Oh well. I had trouble figuring out how to blend this picture so I should have took the first option. Decided to make this signature to make up for it.

Color render vs Black and White background. In this case, its poorly done. It really just seems like a render placed on top of a background. The render is too big for the sized tag that you are using. The text shouldn't be that color. It's hard to read.

That's what I said. You can see the way the photo was originally cropped, and it looks bad.

I agree. This is an improvement on the last three, and at least the image stands out from the background now, but it's not integrated into the signature as well as it could be.

I disagree with Angel that the render's too big. It is a little big, but it works okay to me. I do agree that the text would be better a different color.

I can always go back and change the color of the text since I have the background save. I have been making a habit of doing that so that I can always fix the minor mistakes

As for merging, I do not even know what is going on with Gimp lately. It won't let me merge the pictures like it is suppose to. If I use "Grain Merge" or "Merge", it ends up obscuring the render like you said Kitty. I will need to find another tactic in merging my renders again. Might as well practice on this signature right now.

There's not like one magic move that you can do to achieve this. Making sure the background and render feel like a cohesive whole is about a lot of things, making sure the colors used throughout are complementary, layering effects so that there's depth, as well as making sure the render is blended and there aren't jagged edges or harsh lines, etc. It just takes practice and a good eye.

Looks like an image slapped onto a background with ill-fitting text. Blend your renders, and your text.
