    in the band, one of my other mates wants to sing (But he cant sing for nothing), so i have been considering making a solo album but i was really looking forward to singing for my band... what should i do?...

    not yet, but they reckon that we could work around his voice... but i just don't know how we will go with him...

    Asign a certain part of a song with what suits his voice. And if all fails just be honest to him.

    Well first thing to do is talk with your band members. You can't move forward as a group unless your working together and being honest.
