" I will never leave... please..." A lady in armor started to run up the stairs, having tears running down her face. "I'm sorry.... dark... sacr...my soul...heart...spirit...another being..." A great light burst out from her and covered her friends while she herself made her heart and being fall into the realm of light...
Present...

A girl in the realm of light in a unconscious state was in a state of prayer. "I must find him.This being... am I'm still human? I hope that they're ok.... how long have I've been gone..." She started to open her eyes and a sword appeared next to her. She started to find herself in a soothing place and started to realize that she has changed. "How long have I've been in here? I must leave from this place." She started to close her eyes, making a portal appear in front of her and she went through, finding herself on a beach full of trees that carries fruits that looks like stars.

Meanwhile...

A light started to shine in a graveyard full of weapons that looks like keys. There... a hand can be seen but faded back into the light...

 

A dry wind blew over the desolate wasteland that gave a new meaning to the word nothing. However, behind the almost seemingly endless wind was a lone large castle. The castle was of old stone and it gave a howl as the wind swept over it like a sheet made of water. The sky loomed over with a gray and dreary feeling to it and the inhabitants of the castle emphasized the effect of the place. a lonely place that contained nothing...nothing indeed was the term that they were given...they were known as Nothings.

Nothings were a race of beings that resulted from the remains of dead Keyblade wielders. A few of them formed a group known as The Nothings (as the leader wasn't exactly thrilled with giving the group a less bland name) and they bore this name with a sense of pride and sadness. For unlike what they would've been considered as Nobodies they could feel emotion and express it just as equally. However, the appear of them did change considerably, making it impossible for them to be recognized as their original selves.

Inside a lone hallway stood a Nothing named Reon. He had white hair and blew in his face from the wind that managed to creep its way into the castle. There were others inside but he didn't feel like socializing that day, as he did most days as of the last week of him being there. Reon was a rather new installment to The Nothings but really didn't feel as if that was of any importance seeing as how the mass majority of them weren't exactly old and withering veterans of the group.

As he stared out of the stone hole of the castle he sighed and his thoughts drifted off. "Today is a boring day...sometimes I wish Heartless would come here to attack us...Too bad. Even those demons of the dark are afraid of coming within an inch of this place...I wouldn't either...it's so damn quiet here..."

 

"5 years...... Its been 5 years since I Vex found me. Because of him, I was able to survive and gained a new position of the world. A position I will not afford to lose it no matter what. NO MATTER WHAT."

Syn layed in a dark room where there wasn't even the smallest glimmer of light. He was sitting on a throne that was supplied to every Nothing in the castle. He gazed up at the ceiling, thinking about what happened 6 years ago. "That is the day, when he saved me from oblivion and for that, I owe Vex my life." He then put on a grin and said "But I won't ever tell him that."

 

Meanwhile, on the other side of Hollow Bastion loomed a towering fortress. This fortress gave off a great sense of dread and foreboding. Within the decorated walls of the castle was a group of Nothings that called themselves The Souls. Unlike their counterparts, The Nothings, The Souls prided themselves on their old skills and abilities and their ability to actually have fun outside their once destroyed lives.

In the main hall on a somewhat tall throne sat the leader of the organization. His name was known as Aeon...and his presence could only be more sinister than his gentle but devilish smile. In his mind he went through the days of old in which he would slaughter innocents and Heartless to absorb their hearts to gain more power. He placed his wrist on his chin a chuckled delightfully as he thought of the most frightful victim he had murdered in order to gain more power. It was a young woman who had trusted him. "Fool...have you know true understanding of my personality...no matter...within me lies you...trapped like a bird in a cage...I'm a thief...but I keep what I steal..."

 

"9,996...nngh... 9,997...rrgh...9,998...humph...nine thousand nine hundred ninety niiiiigh- oomph!" The young Soul collapsed to the ground. His goal of 10,000 push-ups is close, but not yet accomplished.

In his room, Rodek was training non-stop for five hours. He felt like he'd die again. "Ha... not even death could keep me down. Ow... my arms. I think I'm done for the day," he said to himself. He rolled over and got up on his knees. Using the air waves around him, he floated back to his feet then walked out to the hallway outside of his quarters. He walked past his leader, Aeon, who was sitting on the tallest throne, and had a chill run down his back. "He's become stronger. I must become the strongest."

 

Aeon watched as Rodek past his chambers and smiled at him, still keeping his frightening look plastered on his face. Aeon had always had a dangerous look about him, but he found it rather amusing how others were afraid of him by him simply glancing at them. His thoughts were in other areas when he was suddenly attack by a playful Nothing known as Hiru. Hiru was above all the quirkiest member of all of them and he fond amusing as to how some strange being such as Hiru could muster that amount of foolishness into a single day. In a loud and boisterous voice, Hiru called out to Aeon, "Aeon, Aeon, Aeon!"

Raising his eyebrows in a slight delight he answered back in his low and sinister voice, "Yes Hiru? What is it?"
Hiru jumped next to him and played with one of Aeon's chains, "Guess what I found today!"
"What is it Hiru?"
Hiru revealed to him a squirming Shadow Heartless and smiled, "I wanted you to have it!"
Aeon chuckled heartily and raised his hand to the Heartless who stopped dead in its tracks and began to writhe in what would be pain, "Thank you Hiru...not many Heartless wander these areas in which we dwell. IT will serve to me as a snack..."

The Heartless' body surged forward at Aeon and entered his body. Aeon's chest jumped slightly as he let out a stifled burp and chuckled again as Hiru watched in childish delight at what he saw.

 

Rodek overheard the little event that happened in the main hall, even though he was already five rooms away in the kitchen. The air waves came to him when he was drinking some water and he immediately choked on it when he heard the Aeon absorbing the Shadow and burp. "Ah, dude, that's just nasty," he said, aiming the insult at Aeon even though he couldn't hear it. "Why don't you eat normally like the rest of us?" Rodek has heard and seen Aeon absorb Heartless before, but he never liked to watch anything suffer. Hearing them was more painful. Also, it's kind of like cheating, in a way. He always believed that true power is obtained by onesself, not taking it from others. Then again...

 

Back at The Nothings castle, Reon walked about the hallway that lead to the lobby. There he picked out his favorite seat, an old and musty couch. After dusting off the area he wished to rest on, he sat himself down and laid of his back and placed his hands behind his head and stared at the ancient ceiling. "Hm...I wonder what the others are doing today? We haven't gotten a single thing to do with entire week...maybe things are finally coming to an end here...Oh well, it can't be helped I guess."

Reon was never one to brood about dull moments in life but this one was particularly different. In the past week nothing had come up with The Souls and their personal, yet strange vendetta against them so Reon was surprised that they had not encountered them in a while. As he thought a small thing bobbed around his line of vision. The ball then morphed into a small and round imp the size of his fist. Its name was Devi, an imp that would pride itself on following about lone members of The Nothings. Reon turned his lip up to the being as it disappeared from view and turned over in the couch, facing the fireplace. "Man...too bad there are no girls here...Otherwise I'd try my hand at flirting..." In Reon's past life he had been known to have a certain charm that would allure women towards him. He snorted at the thought of multiple unknown women swarming him pining for his attention. In his past he would've enjoyed that...not so much now.

 

Syn sighed and said to himself in the abyss that was called his room "I need to get out of here." That is when he got out of his throne and started walking his way to the door. When he placed his hand on the doorknob, he quietly looked back at the room behind and no matter what, he still couldn't find even the smallest glimmer of light. "Still nothing." He then sighed and walked out of his room, leaving the sanctity of his only friend, darkness.

 

Reon had woken up three hours later and sat up straight. Something was wrong. There was a strong odor in the air...an odor he had smelled before. It was the smell of darkness and it was rather potent to him as he had to cover his nose from the almost suffocating miasma of darkness. "What's going on?!" He looked to his left and saw the fireplace's once flickering flames die out and the room got dark. Reon's body tensed up and instinctively, Kingdom Key flashed its way into his right hand. "Look like we have something to do after all..."

 

Syn looked at Vex with emotionless eyes and said to him "Its nothing Vex." "You know me, so distant that even the sky is a speck." He then chuckled and said "Anyways, I'm off." "I'm going to do some exploring, maybe even do some heartless vanquishing. Ta ta my friend." He then dissapeared from Vex's sight and appeared outside the castle walls, heading for a personalized crafted gummi ship made especially for him. "Good thing I stole this."

 

Rodek went outside to take his custom gummi ship out for a test drive. "Heh, perfect. Expected to be since you were created by me," he said happily. He jumped into the seat and turned the engine on, then pumped it up by twisting the right handle bar. After all, it was motorcycle-shaped. He put on his helmet that had a line connecting to the air supply in the seat and sealed it around his neck. After he twisted the handle bar one more time, Rodek shot off into sky.

 

Reon looked to his left to see a Shadow Heartless bound off after him and he raised his Keyblade high and brought it down in a horizontal fashion, cutting down the basic Heartless and ultimately destroying it. He looked over his shoulder to see another Shadow veering up behind him ready to unleash a jumping kick. He sidestepped and swung his weapon upwards, sending the Heartless into the air before firing off a Fire spell to destroy it. The darkness around it flickered then was consumed by the fire then disappeared, its heart fluttering off into the air. Reon leaped up to meet a Shadow who had entered the fray only to be beaten down by a devastating Keyblade attack. Reon got back into a defensive stance and looked at the corridor of darkness that opened before him as a Defender Heartless emerged from it along with three more Shadow Heartless and Reon gritted his teeth and cursed under his breathe, "Just how many things are in there!?"

 

"Too do too do too too... riding on the spaceway!" Rodek was singing to himself as he blasted the heartless that came in his way. "Hmm, I wonder where I should go. Oh, pit stop." He turned to a world that had two tall towers in it. One had a small city below it* and the other looked like a huge castle of darkness**. He pulled over to the one with the city to get something to eat and pass the time.

"Urp. That was good." Rodek got up to walk around and burn off some calories. "*sigh* It's so lonely with just the three of us. Especially when the other two are weirdos. We really need another member. Preferably a girl, heh-heh."

Syn raced through space in his Gummi Ship which he called "Silent Tear". He was determined to find someplace that will show him the true meaning of light. "I must find out what light is." On that note, he noticed a light shining through a world he had never seen before. He looked it up on the navigation computer and saw the world's information on it. "The Keyblade Graveyard?" "Hmm." "I should check it out."
