    My bad if this is in the wrong section. But hey guys, I recently started an LP of Kingdom Hearts II, and I thought this community would be interested in it. What makes this different than the dozens of other LP's already out there, you say? Well, it's being done in full, 1080p HD, with texture filtering and other pretty effects making it look even better. You might be thinking, "The PS2 version I used to play didn't look that bad," and you're right, it didn't. But the LPs of it are all in awful quality compared to mine, so I really think you guys would enjoy it. But don't take my word for it, compare them yourself:

    You can really see the difference in fullscreen, although it is noticeable in the regular player.

    Hey there! As being a huge fan of LP's (and we're making Finnish ones with few of my friends atm) I subbed your channel and might just watch it to the end. :3 Anyways, I immediately noticed once thing that bugs me when watching new LP's or is a common problem with people who start LP's - using your voice so that it doesn't sound very excited or how do you say it... that it really doesn't sound narrative? I had this common problem too in the past and have been trying to get rid of it since when you sound excited about the thing you do, most likely people who watch are going to be more interested in the series that you're making.

    I'll be putting few examples here;

    I at least enjoy people who sound enthusiastic in their videos without overdoing it.

    But besides that, the quality in your videos is astonishing. Are you doing this Let's Play on your PC (since you said something avout filter packs and so on, I guess you're using some kind of emulator)? I want to know what programs you use to do this since I'm currently at a point where I need some programs to make better LP's so help would be appreciated on that part. :p

    Hope that I didn't sound too negative or anything, but I 'll guess that I'm going to watch this from now on. :3

    No negativity taken, I appreciate the feedback.

    I have tried to change my voice in the later episodes, but unfortunately that's just how I talk. I think my mic may also contribute a bit to that. I do attempt to work on it past episode one though, I think i've improved a bit since the first episode.

    Yes I am on my PC. :p Using a PS2 emulator called PCSX2 with my KH2 disc, Fraps to record the gameplay, and Audacity to record the audio. Be forewarned though; to get the pretty effects I'm using, you'll need a powerful computer.

    I think it just depends on what kind of attitude are you having when you're doing LP's. You know, try sound a little over enthusiastic in some episode and check out what's it going to sound like. Of course it takes time to get better (not saying that I'm better myself, I just enjoy these kind of things) so I'm going to watch your videos how you progress. You've got a very charismatic voice so if you'd just make it sound more excited about the thing you're doing I'm sure people would love that.

    And yeah, as soon as you said Fraps it was over for me. Fraps doesn't compress the video and takes a lot from the PC so I'm out on that, ha. I use Bandicam and record with Cool Edit Pro 2 so we're on different standards, I guess. I'm not going to get a better PC before I get some money for that... going to take some time.

    But yeah. I'm currently watching episode 1 and I'm going to watch this series as well as other videos you may put up. Hit me up if you need a co-commentor. XD

    I'll definitely be working to make myself sound more enthusiastic. I went into the LP with a very relaxed attitude, but I see what you're saying, it does sound a bit bored in the first episodes.

    I use Sony Vegas Pro to render, and I record to a separate hard drive to take the work off of my main one. Fraps does take a lot, it's about 70GB per episode, but I render it down to around 1.8-2GB in Vegas, so it's not a problem for me. I do hold myself to a very high standard, I try to put out the best possible quality I can. :p

    I subscribed to your channel too! Heh. Your voice sounds like one of those dudes from the radio station to me. As for Fraps, I... never did try to use Fraps to record video gameplay. I did for online gameplay when I played Fiesta (I quit on that game. It is going downhill with no hope of restoration to me) but I only had the free version of Fraps. I want to see the rest of your vids.

    Thanks for the feedback! I got a new mic around Episode 9, so the quality should be even better, and I also tried to throw some more enthusiasm in, so I'm it sounds better in general.

    Fraps can be kinda glitchy, but I haven't had any problems with it. But I also have a lot of space for recording, which helps a lot because it's like 80GB of footage an episode, before I render it in Sony Vegas.

    Still good. Also, to point out something, you can see at a shop if you have an item like the ability ring (Or other accessories) by seeing which character has it equipped or is in stocked at the store (It says so under Sora's Donald, Goofy and an empty slot). And I still like that radio station voice you have. It makes me want to listen more. Better than those with the (YEA DUDE! Hallow Bastion! Rock on!)

    I just remembered that when you mentioned it, lol, thanks. Forgot I did that in that episode. Thanks a lot, glad to hear you like it. I've been getting a lot of comments from some friends on other forums about my voice, I was just thinking they were being themselves, but since you say so, maybe I have something special here?     On the matter of whether this is in the right section, I would rule that as a 'no.' I'll figure out where to put it in the morning. Unless someone else gets to it before me.

    EDIT: On second thought, it'll probably be best moved to the KH2 section. So consider that done.

    Oh, thanks for that. I was thinking that Media Showcase could encapsulate digital media like videos, but KH2 is probably a better section.

    Yeah, it does contain things like that so you weren't really wrong. Its just best to keep everything pertaining to Kingdom Hearts in the Kingdom Hearts Section.

    I looked at a few minutes and its by far the best lets play that Ive seen on Kingdom Hearts. My audio doesn't work to well but it sounded A-Okay. Something with this good of quality had to be done via emulator. I'll have to look at it more later but so far so good.

    Thanks! Yep, popped my KH2 disc in my rig and pulled up PCSX2. Using 6x the native resolution, texture filtering, and 2x MSAA.

    The audio quality was lower than I would've hoped for in the beginning, but I feel that it has really picked up since then.

    Just a heads up , there won't be a video today.

    I saw your Episode 17 vid (Dang. You play that game super quick). At least you protect Meg very well without letting her getting hit. Always inn the way so it is annoying. Also, at 4:50... XD Just take your time in trying to say what you were trying to say. I was laughing when you was stuttering and then cursed and said to hold up. I enjoy the battle tips you give during a boss battle too. Some people really do not do that.

    As for that "GET UP ON THE HYDRA'S BACK!" XD Would be best if you had the high jump ability... but you didn't had Valor form ot lv 3 yet so that's alright. I still enjoy all of this though. Oh yea. 14:57. XD Nyaaaah. See see see? Nyaaah. Anyway, I want to see your Episode 18 vid and see how well you did with Queen Minnie. That's my favorite.

    Thanks, glad you liked it. I feel I'm improved a lot as well, especially when I go back and watch the first episodes.
