    This is more or less me asking the forum for an opinion on the NGE.I have never watched or read anything canon NGE,though I do know much about what happens.The Rebuild movies themselves are something I am very interested in watching,however,I was wondering what others throught about the series and if I should watch or read the other anime and manga.

    GrandShadow I accept your challange.

    the movies aren't that good but the overall thing about the series is that it's very plot driven. to the point that missing a single episode can make you understand nothing about the rest of the series. so if you watch the series, watch every episode in order without skipping.

    NGE is a good series though, always worth a watch.

    Apparently in the remakes (1.0: You are (NOT) alone, 2.0: You Can (NOT) Advance etc), it'll have yet another different ending as did the series and End of Evangelion had. Haven't read the manga so I'm not sure how that one ends yet. Ordering them when I want to shell out the cash for it, NGE is that great that I have to buy their things. In my opinion, the remakes are somewhat the same as the series bundled together (I've only watched 1.0) with an easier way to follow what's happening and prettier footage. I'm only interested about the new ending and perhaps the unmentioned EVA pilots and EVA's that were not mentioned in the series.
    So if you have not watched NGE, I suggest you do if you want a deep complex plot where perhaps you yourself have to input your own theory about it to understand the story and eventually the ending/s.

    Well I think it's about time to have an annual NGE session now =]

    Haha,thanks man.I will say I already know how parts of NGE,End,and Rebuild go.Including that 2.0 is something...well,different.Up to you if it is good or not of course,but the part I have seen compared to how it happened in the series,they end up being partially the same and partially completly different.

    On that note,have you seen the trailer for Quickening?There isnt another title yet other then the japanese one,but the trailer is still out.Watched it on youtube.

    And edit note,I got to see the first Rebuild yesterday! It was a little different from what I was expecting,but not in a bad way.It was a pretty good movie,cant wait till 2.0 comes out in the states.And for 3.0 to come out at all.
