Not Being Remembered

    For some reason, almost every time I get on the forums, I have to log in. I always hit Rember Me, but 90% of the time, when I return to the forums after leaving I have to log in anyway. It's irritating me, and I was hoping the could be fixed if it's a problem with the site

    it might have something to do with the cookies on your computer. Does your computer automatically erase cookies after you get off the internet? That may explain why you have to keep re-entering your username and password all the time.

    no, it doesn't. Both my computer and PS3 do this to me. I have nothing enabled to erase cookies

    Make sure that you:

    1. Have the checkbox checked when you logged on

    2. make sure that your settings keep your saved passwords and it will not erase when you get off of the internet.

    3. Check your details and options here on this site to make sure that it is not interfering.

    Really? might just be a computer setting thing. What type of opener do you have? Cuz on mine (google chrome) i logged in once clicked remember me, didnt get back on for months and it was like i was never gone. Im always remembered. So it might just be either your computer or your browser.

    I can almost guarantee you it's your cache.

    Cache as the quote from online is basically your back up disk drive on your computer but for your internet. If you have it set up to delete your internet history, I can guarantee you it's set up to clear the cache as well. The cache is what saves the internet.

    For those arguing browsers, it has nothing to do with the browser(because after using it so much and I did try the others, Safari is way simple).

    Check about the cache. The PS3 I'm sure probably does do it, depending on how old it is or how up to date it is. If it's more up to date, you may be fine, if you are not, it probably cleans it out to make space to efficiency run your game's graphics. Next for the computer just check and turn off the setting that deletes the history or whatever and make sure the cache is set on manually clear.

    Also as a key note, to other, you should be cleaning your cache often so your not over loading the internet.

    Check your script as well, it might show an error whenever you click on the remember me button.

    This used to happen to me alot too, I know it gets frustrating. Until my computer started asking me to save the password on the computer. Now I don't have that problem anymore, and I can make a quick post :)
