Playstation Network Hacked and Shut Down

    Since April 20th, 2011, the PS3's Playstation Network (PSN) has been temporarily shut down due to a hacker named Anonymous. The PSN was officially hacked on April 4th, 2011. The reason of this hacking is unknown. Sony Computer Entertainment is currently undergoing security improvements to ensure this hacking won't happen again. Anonymous made a message on Youtube saying they didn't hack the PSN and also saying Sony is lying about all this. I, for one, believe that is complete bullshit. At the end of the video Anonymous said 'You should have seen us coming.' Sound suspicious? Sony Computer Entertainment Europe said that PSN should be back up on Monday or Tuesday. They also said though, that this is an estimate, and not official.

    I think what Anonymous did was uncalled for. What are all of your thoughts on this?

    No one should be able to hack into another's account. It's their details and their lives. Anonymous and the other hackers think it should be lawful to go into other people's personal information and pirate the work of others. Its not right and they need to be punished.

    no one's account was hacked. it was the Playstation Network in general

    No one really knows whats going on. It may not even be a hack at all. Playstation is being really hush about the whole thing. The only thing we know is that there is a posibility that the hackers may be able to steal credit card information from peoples acounts, which isnt good. Also the only reason this has lasted so long is that Playstation has everything fixed now Playstation is just working on backing up the system so this cant happen again.

    i hope that's the case. Sony better have an extremely well put secruity system this time. I don't want any of this happening again. Especially once the PS4 is out.

    All I know is, I can't use Hulu to watch my shows because the network is down and you can't access Hulu on playstation without the PSN. So much for watching Chef Ramsay cursing people out of home and hearth!

    Wth, how did a hacker did that? They crapped the PSN that's why other users can't log in? Well, this is bad news.

    Playstation has created a specific group of staff just for security so I'm sure this won't happen again.

    PSN is supposedly be back online Tuesday, May 3rd.

    I don't know if this is true, but we shall all soon see.

    I'm excited, I've been so bored out of my mind for the last just about 2 weeks.
