PS3 Slim, Xbox 360 Price Drop

Wow, prices in the US differ in massive ammounts.

Wii = £100
Xbox Elite = £230
PS3 (current) = £350
PS3 Slim (rumored) = £500


As you can see in the UK the Ps3 isn't a popular choice.

 

Ps3 slim is on a special order promotion at HMV where i live. And its round about 350+, not 500.

 

I know the original ps3 is £350 at my local tesco so that is very suprising.

 

Lawlz i didn't even realise Tescos sold ps3.

Are there images for the PS3 Slim yet?
I took a quick gander but can't confirm any true images.

Ours are still 500-600 dollars Australian(fuuuu... Well last I checked =\), hoping to see the price drop here as well.

That's great information because I just want the slim. That's how I got the PS3, the price went down pretty big over here.

 

I saw that one, but the logo and finish of the product put me off. I thought it would have that shiny finish still.
I would also think that they would be using the original logo


or at least stick to the Sony Game System text

Having the second one said, the text is bloated and the 3 is curved on the image you have found, maybe I'm just picky on this. Then again, I may be flat out wrong. It's NEXT GEN! they have to change it a little =\

Huh, the look sort of well . . . looks downgraded. I know I may sound like a suck-up but uh . . . I agree.

 

Would the PS3 Slim will be able to play both PS1 & PS2 games without some kind of system to attach to the game system in order to play both PS1 & 2? If not, I'll definitely won't be interested in those games.

 

well not all ps2 games play in the current normal ps3 depending on which one you have

Sounds tempting to get. Should probably put it on my imaginary list of video game stuff to get, under FF Dissidia.

And also, is the 360 backwards compatable? Obviously I don't look into these things at all.

 

And to think I was going to try purchase an expensive Original PS3 that had the backwards compatibility from Ebay.
A few of my friends are going to be cut by this XD
The news for Sony keeps getting better and better, though Microsoft do know their way around things still.

 

originally no, though they constatntly are updating which games are playable.
On the 360 release day only the top 300 xbox games were playable. I am asuming by now that the majority are (though I tried KotOR the other day and it never worked )
