question on spirits

    Hey, ive been playing this game for a while and i still havnt been able to figure this out. What is the little heart symbol for on my spirits stat bar? When i interact with them i sometimes get something like a +5 to pink hearts but i have no idea what they are, or why when i go into the spirit menu my spirits sometimes have something like 3/6 hearts. If you you guys could help it would be much appreciated, thanks.

    Oh, that's your spirit's affinity. It determines how often your spirits attack or defend.

    Affinity - how much your spirit likes you.

    It goes up after battles, and petting.
    It goes down when the spirit is K.O.ed
