Something about Bleach im confused about

just to put this out of the blue but for those of you Bleach fans out there, here's something i wanna know. during the 1st of the 3 parts of the arrancar saga, ichigo beat Grimmjow. around the beginning of the 2nd part, Grimmjow was still alive, and Noitora was about to kill him but Ichigo saved him. there never was a scene where Grimmjow died. anyone think this could lead up to a season revolving around ichigo having to fight grimmjow again?
