Spin-Offs You'd Want to See

Well if we're talking spin-offs I want a true spin-off. Every handheld or otherwise title so far has been bogged down by being forcibly or retroactively forced into the overall story in such a way that's it's important to play. (even concerts are canon now)

So in that light I'd want one with absolutely no connection to the current story. Homages and reshuffled characters but no direct ties to the main story, not even crossovers.

From there there's plenty of stories I'd love to see. The top two being AUs I've found that I'd want to see are KH1 (possibly further) with Kairi as the lead and the second I've seen is the story but with Aqua as the lead. It starts after BBS as she emerges from the Dark Realm during KH1.

I've just like to see these two and other ideas like it. Hopefully with new writing staff. Let Nomura and the hardcore ride the main story into the ground, use these spin-offs to let others shine. We might get something that lives up to the KH potential.

 

Word. Heck, I want the new writing staff more than anything. I'd even be willing to deal with existing characters so long as it was a new batch of writers handling them....well okay I don't want Kh1 Sora anymore...for the love of glob no more of that. Nomura has even admitted he just likes to use it before, LET IT END NOMURA.

No no, it's not that it's KH1 as it was, from her view, but KH1 entirely redone with her as an active leading role. It's one I see mostly by Kairi fans (which are rather...stout) but I'd be willing to give such a thing a shot after how the main story has evolved thus far.
In truth though, my biggest interest for a story but with an existing character would be Aqua. BBS and TAV sucked but they had potential not too.

Since we're on writing, if they ever did get new writers they need to hire some editors too. Some things are just thrown in that have no real purpose. The "midoclorian lore" of the ceremonies and true master titles being two leading examples.
I don't mind the teacher thing, but plot points like titles and ceremonies being added but serving no purpose while characters themselves call out on that point kinda defeats the purpose.

 

Right? There's lots of angles you could take with that. Especially if you take the existing story and rewrite it around this idea, it'd also have the benefit of having things to pull from (while not being too much the same) keeping it more coherent.
Heck even the idea of Kairi having the keyblade would make more sense. Riku decides he's a sith so it finds the next best thing, a PoH that is a literal embodiment of light. x'D

My personal want would be the Aqua au.
What if ideas are also neat, like if Roxas was KH2's lead and so on.

 

Not quite sure, I haven't read the Kairi au ideas in detail. If your asking how I'd do it personally, I'd probably have Sora disappear the night the islands fall. From there I have two ideas off the top of my head:
1) Sora is found later with Hercules.
2) Sora disappeared that night and Roxas came into existence. Albeit retaining Sora's memories this time since Kairi wasn't there to interrupt the heartless-nobody process.

 

Since I've been playing Automata;

I'd love to see a KH, with absolutely no ties to the main one, headed by Yoko Taro. Nomura and the hardcore fans can keep the main story, don't even have them cross, just give me a parallel world and game done by Taro. I need this now.
