That Charmer is a Liar

Once upon a time
there was a lovely girl
big big eyes
a lovely chocolate brown
delicately tanned skin
and a lithe body
you just wanted to skim
She was giggly and fun
She was the light of the day
loved by everyone.

She started a humble sweetheart
Didn't know her footing,
didn't know her place
But her charm- those
sparkling eyes,
the invisible frown
she won the world over
and left no survivors.

But what the world faintly knew
was there was another behind this charmer
A bumbling blonde, with no ground under her feet.
A disproportionate mannequin
didn't know how to speak
glittering eyes lost
behind skin red and grotesque
wide body that one day shrunk
by methods that could kill
ugly features and a lack of confidence.
She stumbled, she fell.
She crashed, and burned.
Trapped in this inferno
no lesson learned.
Her best friend saw these trials
without a second thought of the pain
She left her behind
she had so much to gain.
Forgot to care, the charmer was never there
for the girl who could've been so great

They parted their ways.
But pretended to care.
The shadow found darker shadows
that would lift her up.
And make her shine.

And one day, too lost in the glamour
a goblin dressed as an angel told her lies
wanted some fun, thought she could kill time
told the charmer a lie,
said her forgotten shadow was gossiping
too caught up in sparkling waters,
the charmer believed it.

The charmer took charge.
Defaming the shadow.
Claimed she was deceiving.
Said she hated them all
two-faced and hating.
Lying, spreading rumors,
Told them that awkward shadow
was speaking words that were less than kind.

And now the shadow is more hurt than ever before.
Her once-solemn blood is rushing like a volcano
She is armed and ready to kill
that charmer turned villain who used to be so kind
before she does to another girl
what she did to me.
