The Contrast Is Scary....

I found my Kingdom Hearts I today. I began playing it. And, I'm shocked as to how different KHI is compared to KHII. For example, the battles seem slower, there seem to be more Heartless on screen at once, Sora's movements are a little less fluid, Sora is much weaker, and it takes forever longer to level up. I still like the original KH, but man, did the series majorly advance between I and II....

Definitely. Just shows what Nomura can do though. Between just a few games, he can make a game's gameplay infinitely better. I do still love the original KH, but you're right, Kingdom Hearts 2 is so much more fluent and just... more pleasing.

Yeah... Nomura is a genious. Other than KHI and KHII, there really hasn't been a Kingdom Hearts game that used the same battle system. BBS was similar, but not identical. CoM had the Card Battle System, 358/2D had the Panel System, and Re:C had the Command Deck, the Overclock System, and that weird computer-chip-board-thingy.

Now that you mention it, the gameplay of every game has been unique. Almost as if he's experimenting with the gameplay to figure out which gameplay he should incorporate into KH3...

Yeah, It's true. I hope that KH III gameplay be better than all the others Kingdom Hearts game.

With so many battle styles in KH, it's hard to say what III will play like.

I hope he just uses one type of battle style. The kh re:coded got weird in the hercules world

You didn't like Re:Coded's Olympus Coleseum? I thought that turn-based battle system would make a great set up for future handheld Kingdom Hearts games....

No way. The Kingdom Hearts live action gameplay is, in my opinion, much better than the Hercules turn based system. I actually loved the gameplay of Days, and if it were turn based, I probably would've given up after day 200 and something, haha.

Well this is off topic, but 358/2 days was sort of linear in my opinion. I mean I love the storyline, and the gameplay was cool, and I wouldn't give up on a Kingdom Hearts game, ever, but after the 60th mission it began to get a bit repetitive. So I just hope that KHIII won't do that. Because, I mean, if KHIII is going to be the big epic showdown, I want to be completely enticed throughout the whole thing. But again, it's just my opinion.

358/2 Days was fun, but the Panel system was annoying and kinda' stupid.

I liked the panel system, but it wasn't anywhere near as good as BBS. But Nomura was just experimenting, I guess, and you have to give him some credit for that.
