The weapons in FFVII were vicious. The Omega and Ultima weapons were devious in FFVIII but even more harder in FFX. What do you have to say about these secret bosses? Which Omega and Ultima weapons were stronger in which game in your opinion?

No way. With proper leveling up (not even max stats) and break damage limit, the weapons in X are complete pushovers. Even in my No Sphere Grid game, these guys were simple. The only incarnations easier are the random encounter versions in X-2.

Let's see if I can remember all of the games I've beaten that feature these two.

There's Atma Weapon in VI (the Atma being a mistranslation for Ultima, I believe I heard somewhere). He wasn't horribly difficult, but I don't remember him being super easy, either.

Ultimate Weapon in VII was easy. You only mentioned Ultima and Omega in the intro post, but if you're interested in anything with Weapon in the name, I'll say that Diamond was easy, too, but Ruby and Emerald were both a challenge for me, though not impossible.

Ultima Weapon in VIII is a pushover too. Getting through the Deep Sea Research Center was harder than fighting him. Omega was a nice challenge, though once you pick up on his attack pattern, he becomes fairly easy too.

I already mentioned my opinion on the ones featured in X and X-2.

And then there's Omega Mark XII in FFXII- easily the hardest of the weapons. I felt like this one really was almost impossible, even at high levels.

Would this thread not be the same as my Superboss thread? It sure is similar.

Sort of, but he's focusing on the two Weapons here. Any other superboss could be discussed in more detail in the other thread- if it weren't bumping to post in your thread.

Hate it how that happens to my threads.

Anyways.... While Ruby and Emerald WEAPONS were much tougher than Ultima and Omega Weapons, I think Nemesis is tougher than all of them. But I haven't gotten to Nemesis yet.

And I mention Nemesis because he's a golden Omega Weapon.

I've found that Ultima and Omega have been easily defeated, aside from two. Emerald Weapon, I STILL haven't beaten. And then Omega Mk II. OMG, I'm not even goin' there!

I forgot about Nemesis- I guess he'd fall into this category. So would Penance, I think, though since I don't have the International version of X (unfortunately), I've never been able to fight him.

And I would say that Nemesis is not harder than Ruby or Emerald. For one, the way the battle works, you can easily swap in Yuna with an aeon shield at the last minute so you can avoid taking damage from his attacks. But even if you didn't want to do that, with decent stats (mine were all around 190, I think) and break damage limit, if you teach all of your characters Quick Hit, you can basically kill him before he even gets a turn. He's another one where the getting to him is harder than fighting him.

-____- But Nemesis can counter attack any spells or attacks...

^ And so? A lot of the monster arena bosses do that. It doesn't make him any harder. Auto-Phoenix in your armors if your stats are too poor to survive an attack will take care of it. I don't remember him counterattacking very often, although maybe I'm mistaken. Regardless, it doesn't change the fact that you can still quick hit him to death extremely quickly for being the ultimate boss of the game.

I think that he can counter quick attack but I'm not sure. -__- The Omega of FFXII is too much for me period...

No love for the Omega weapon of V?I dont even remember if it was called that in V,but that was really the first Weapon in Final Fantasy if I am correct.Hell, the best weapons in the game HEALED it!

I cant say much about the other weapons. The ones in X aside from Nemesis are easy.Havnt fought Nemesis, never did much with the Arena.

VII,only wanted to beat the game.Havnt really tried fighting the two yet

Im working on XII right now for beating him.Gonna wait till after Zodiark though.Hellswrym is already out of the way.

VIII...I need to get the game again to tell.Only borrowed it,need to beat still anyways.

Possibly he can, though I can't remember him being the sort that counterattacked much at all. I do know that the times I've beaten him, if he has in fact counterattacked a quick hit, it never KO'd my characters. Auto-potion would have taken care of it right away. It doesn't really matter much- I still know that when I defeated Nemesis, my thoughts were that it was a disappointing fight.
