Vengence of the forgotton

Chris brushed his hair out of his eyes, sweat running down his forehead. He had been traveling for a few days now. It had been two weeks since he had defeated King Altair, and yet he was still hunting down remnants of the once-threatening kingdom. The soldiers that Chris had joined with had started calling him Buscador de Leyenda. He asked someone one day what that meant. The guy looked at him. "It means the Seeker of legends." Why he would be called that, Chris could not figure out.

"Chris!" someone called out. Chris looked back to find his friend, Alex, running up to him. Alex was part of a special attack force, the same one Chris had joined up with when they went to defeat the King.
"Alex, what is it?"
Alex stopped to catch his breath. "We have a huge attack on the camp. It's like the rest of the King's army joined up and want revenge." Chris stiffened up and grabbed his blade.
"Let's go."

Kratos strolled down the road, humming to himself. So far, the job as a mercanary wasn't appealing to him. But he needed the money and didn't argue with it. He came to a crossroads and was trying to decide where to go when someone walked up behind him.
"Excuse me sir, but we're going to need a toll fee." he said, playing with his sword. Kratos just looked at him.
"I'm sorry, but I need to be leaving. Good day." Kratos started walking forward, but two more men came out of the woods, circling him.
"That wasn't a question." the first man said, stepping closer. Kratos drew his sword, Chainfire, and looked at the man.
"I suggest you leave now while you can."
The man laughed. "You're not in the position to make suggestions." he lunged forward, crying out. Kratos stepped back and sliced the mans head off. His body fell to the ground. The other two decided to gang up on him at once, one going to the left, the other to the right. Kratos sheathed Chainfire and waited. When the men rushed forward, Kratos drew out two hidden blades and shoved them into the attackers throats. In seconds, the battle was over.
Kratos looked down at them. "Foolish." Then he continued down the path.

 

Kratos stepped through some bushes. He looked around, expecting someone to attack him. Drawing his sword slowly, he stepped forward. Up ahead, he could see a small town. Exactly the same town he was traveling to. "Clock Town" was what the sign said. He stepped forward and heard a twig snap. Kratos spun around and looked, finding that it was he who stepped on the twig.
"I really need a new job." he said to himself.

 

Chris sat back against the tree, looking out onto Clock Town. "So, is this where the group is said to be?" Alex nodded. "Good." Chris stood up straight and looked at his friend. "Go back to the group and wait for me. This won't take long."
Alex nodded. "You know, anyone else who would be saying that I would consider a suicide. But I know you can handle yourself." he turned and ran back into the woods. Chris turned back to the town and took off.

Kratos walked through the gates, looking out on the town. He walked into the market and looked around, trying to find supplies. He came to a stall with an old woman sitting at it. "Excuse me, do you happen to have any potions for me?"
The old woman looked up and nodded. "That I do mister." she showed him the potions and he paid for them. Thanking her, he started back through the market.

 

Chris stepped through the gates. Every time he came to Clock Town, it always seemed to amaze him. He could never really keep away. He walked into the market, keeping an eye out for anyone who looked suspicious. For a second, Chris thought that he saw a couple girls running through the market. But when he tried to find them again, they disappeared.

 

Kratos walked into an inn, hoping to get a room. Talking to the bartender, he saw two women come walking into the inn. But Kratos ignored them. After getting the key, he walked into the side-bar and ordered a drink. Kratos looked over the bar, checking every person out.

 

Chris stopped. It can't be... He had seen Kratos walking into an inn. What he was doing here, Chris didn't know. But he was going to find out. He kept his hand on the hilt of his sword and followed into the inn behind two women. As soon as they were in, Chris split up and walked around Kratos, watching him out of the corner of his eye. He saw Kratos walk into the bar. Strangely, Chris saw something flash under Kratos' shoe. He decided to follow into the bar and sat down at a table.

Chris noticed someone lean up against the wall. He knew that he should keep an eye on everyone, but Kratos held his attention more than anything. Kratos was somewhat of an enemy, so Chris needed to do what he could to get him.
