What instruments do you play???

    This is just a thread for the instruments you play.
    Or if you are in a band, and what kind of band.
    Do you play for school bands or marching band or jazz band or just a gurage band or anything like that.



    I play the guitar, oboe, tenor saxophone, clarinet, and recorder (if recorder counts)
    I play guitar for fun.
    I play oboe in concert band.
    Tenor Sax for Jazz Band
    And hope to play Tenor in Marching band someday.
    Clarinet was my first instrument and I don't play it very much. I just know the basics.

    I play the violin. I was in my school's orchestra in high school. Now, when I get it out, which isn't nearly as often as I should, I just play it for fun.

    WayToTheDawn, do u just play the guitar for fun, or are you in a band or something???

    Toph-violin is cool, but my school doesn't offer string instruments!

    Lame. At my school, the orchestra was way underappreciated, compared to the band. We'd earn more awards, but they were the ones with the trophies displayed. But luckily, they kept us around.

    To those who play instruments, how long have you been playing them? I started playing the violin when I was in sixth grade (about 12 yrs old), so it's been quite a while for me. Though, since I've been seriously slacking for a long while now, I'm pretty suckish, and you probably wouldn't guess it's been that long. >_<

    not so important...
    fife, recorder, harmonica, alto flute

    Serious...
    flute, piccolo, alto saxophone, clarinet, and piano

    I can probably play most woodwind instruments though.


    I play piccolo in my school marching band
    flute in basically everything else
    I'm hoping to do sax in jazz band
    and everything else is just extra fun and I hope to major in music one day so the others are there to help with my fututre

    I play the trumpet, cornet, and on my way to piano.
    I play trumpet for my school band, cornet during school just to mess with, and
    Piano just for pleasure. I love piano. :)

    -Banjo (my friend owns one and I learned how to play it for shits and gigs)
    - Pan flute
    -I'm also pretty damn good on a turntable

    I sometimes play the piano just for fun, but I don't play anything seriously, I usually just play by the ear. Electirc Guitar from tabs, bass also, and I play the drums. All of those instruments I play I haven't got any teaching on them, practiced by myself.

    I have been laying guitar or about a year and a half and Tenor Saxaphone for 5 years now. I can also pick stuff up pretty quickly when messing with a piano or drumset.

    i've played the violin since 3rd grade. now i'm playing for high school, but the music is just so frickin' hard. i have to learn vibrato by the end of the summer.

    i learned how to play piano in 7th grade for fun but i've started to slack off. i think i'm gonna start practicing again when i get back to the U.S.
