Why do Terra and Riku can extract or manipulate a heart?

    I finished reading Xehanort's Report and he says "We Keyblade Masters have a special gift. We can extract a heart, be it our own or that of another",Terra is not a master neither Riku,so how it's possible?


    PS:If u dont know Terra extracted Aurora's heart and Riku manipulated Maleficent's heart to release all her darkness.

    Wasn't Riku already possessed by Ansem at that time?

    I know!

    It's very simple. Terra didn't extract Princess Aurora's heart. Master Xehanort was the culprit. In the game, Vanitas ask Xehanort about it and he smirked then the scene fades to black.

    If you read the Xehanort Reports, he elaborates about the Keyblade of Peoples' Hearts. This keyblade extracts and releases hearts. Riku had this keyblade which granted him such an ability. Sora also used such a weapon on himself releasing his heart, Kairi's heart and Ventus's heart.

    The fact that Riku is possessed doesnt have nothing to do with this cause Ansem(Xehanort's Heartless) isnt a Keyblade Master he doenst even has a keyblade

    Being able to extract hearts is an ability of the keyblade. Masters either know how to do it (Which doesn't mean Terra is unable to do it) or masters have the strength to do it (Which means Terra is able to do it. He has the strength of a master; he only failed the test due to Xehanort's interference).

    The dark keyblade Riku had in KH1 was created from the hearts of 6 of the 7 Princesses of Heart. That keyblade just made it really easy to extract hearts.

    When has the keyblade shown the ability to extract hearts other than the Keyblade of Peoples' Hearts.
    Terra can not extract hearts. He may be strong enough to be a master but he still does not have the title.
    That is the Keyblade of Peoples' Hearts specific ability.

    Have you not played/finished BBS? Master Xehanort's keyblade is able to extract hearts. Xehanort even specifies it in one of the Xehanort Reports.

    And why can't he? He seemed to do just fine extracting Aurora's heart when he was under Maleficent's influence.

    I know. But that keyblade is not the only keyblade that can extract hearts. If a keyblade wielder has to be a keyblade master to extract hearts with their keyblade, then the Keyblade of People's Hearts allows anybody (Master or not) to extract hearts.

    He is a Keyblade Master. Xehanort's keyblade can extract hearts because he has the ability to do so.

    It seems as though Terra extracted Aurora's heart but it was really Xehanort.

    I was mistaken. It unlocks the darkness within a person's heart.

    I know. I said that because your last post was asking when a keyblade aside from the Keyblade of People's Hearts was able to extract hearts. And I know he, like other keyblade masters, can extract hearts. I'm certain that the Blank Points video hints at Eraqus releasing his own heart as well. I'm kinda wondering why we're continuing this specific point.

    There is not a single point in the entire game where they say that Xehanort was the one who did it. Xehanort smirking when Vanitas asked him about it doesn't really mean anything. Xehanort, being the manipulative person he is, could've simply been smiling at his plan to corrupt Terra going along like he planned.

    Just emphasizing that Keyblades do not have the power to extract hearts. It is the master who weilds them.

    It was actually Braig speaking to Xehanort. (It's been a while since I played Birth by Sleep)
