XNAlara stuff

    I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I'll be posting my stuff that I make in XNAlara. ^ ^
    (It's a posing program if no one knows. o: it was made by Dusan Pavlicek. ^ ^)
    I've only been using this program for 2 days now, but I used MMD before this, so I have a lot of experience with this sort of thing.

    I don't quite understand exactly how it works, so I'm not exactly sure what all you did. I think the images you linked look pretty good, except some of the poses look a little unnatural. Like in the second image from the top, the girl (Serah? I dunno, I haven't played XIII)'s hands look a little odd. And in the ones where Riku is carrying Kairi, I think her legs look a little stiff- I think most people being picked up would bend more, both at the knee and the waist.

    But like I said, no clue what the limitations are on the program, or how you go about using it, so I'm not sure if these are things that could be fixed with more fooling around with the program or not. But from what I can tell, they all look pretty cool.

    Yeah, those are things that could be fixed and I was thinking about that before I went to bed, but like I said I've only been using this program for 3 days now (today is my third).

    For Serah being on Snow's back and her hands looking weird, I couldn't really do much with that since it was either leave it as it is or just make her fingers go through his neck. o: I guess I could've tilted her hands and made it appear as if she was holding on to his jacket though..

    As for Riku carrying Kairi, I only had a short amount of time to make that one because it was 12-1 am (I don't remember which one..), so that one was rushed since my mom was standing there saying "You're getting sick, you need to go to bed RIGHT NOW."

    Anyways, thank you so much for the feedback! I wasn't sure if anyone was going to post in here or not, but I'm really glad that you did! :D

    If you (or anyone) has any suggestions for poses I would be more than glad to make them~ ^ ^ I take requests for this kind of stuff, so if you're interested you can either pm/vm me about it. All you would have to do is tell me what character(s) you want and what you'd like them to do. (just remember that there isn't a model (character) of everything, so if the character that you want isn't available you'd have to pick someone else.. ;o;)

    EDIT: Give me a minute and I'll show you all of the bones I can work with.

    You can see how little of bones she has.. I can't even make her close her eyes, really..
    where as in someone from Final Fantasy has many bones like this:

    I could easily make Fang close her eyes (as seen in the pictures above with her sleeping)
    I'm not sure how to explain how it works though.. hrr..

    It takes a lot of patience to make a pose, especially when you have multiple models in your scene.

    I feel bad when people post up their work and no one says anything, because why would you post it if you didn't want feedback? So I try and find something to say when I can. And besides, this program sounds cool. So it's just video game characters that you can choose from? Are the backgrounds part of it too, or do you make them somehow?

    Thanks for posting up the control panel shots. I think I get how this works now. I don't think I have nearly enough patience and am too much of a control freak to try posing anything. I'd be putting my fist through my computer because I couldn't get a hair ribbon in the right spot.

    With the Serah one, on a second look I think maybe it's not so much her hands, but that she might be placed a little too high on his back. If she were down lower so that her elbows were resting near his shoulders and her hands over his chest, it might look a little more natural. But I still think it looks pretty good regardless. And great for being only your third day using the program.

    As for the Kairi/Riku ones, well, that's why I'm glad I'm out of the house XD. I don't think those two shots look bad, really, either. They're just a little too sharp-edged to be official screenshots. Which I doubt the program is sophisticated enough to pull off something of that quality, but I couldn't help noticing.
