What did you take at GCSE? I finished my GCSEs in 2008, and I've just completed my first year of college. I assume your birthday is in between the months of January and August? At GCSE I took English lang., English lit., science, physics, astronomy, maths, food tech., French (lower foundation, completed in year 9), French (higher foundation, completed in year 10), drama, religious studies. I got five As, four Bs and two Cs, which I'm quite happy with. My five As are in English lit., physics, French (higher), religious studies and science; my four Bs are in English lang., maths, food tech. and drama; my two Cs are in French (lower, which was the highest attainable grade) and astronomy (which was pretty much a 'teach-yourself' course because we covered the physics course first, leaving around two weeks to cover the astronomy... so, you understand.) I was quite annoyed at myself, actually, because I was one mark away from an A in food tech., and two marks away from an A* in physics. I don't like to brag, but I did get the highest mark in physics in my year, the essays I wrote for religious studies were "the best seen in ten years", and in all my maths modules I was two to three marks away from full marks, which made me happy. I messed around quite a lot at school, and if I'd have concentrated more and attended all my classes, I would have achieved much higher grades. I wish I had. At college, I initially started off studying physics, maths, French and Spanish, but the physics was ridiculously difficult and I ended up dropping it earlier because I was having trouble sleeping and eating and thinking. When I return in my second year, I'm dropping maths and replacing it with Italian. I've realised that as much as I love the general idea of physics, my brain doesn't function on that wavelength, and that languages is where I exceed. Of course, being French and speaking it as a first language is helpful, but you get the idea. I had a consultation with a learning mentor and I told him I didn't know what I wanted to do for a career, and he put forth the idea of being an interpretor. It'd be difficult, but I think I'd be ready to give it a try. Ah, I honestly don't know. I just know that I want to travel, get away from England and be free. In a way, playing Kingdom Hearts has made me want to travel more, because of how Sora and his friends travel to all those different worlds and see new sights and meet new people and make new friendships. I don't see much beauty in the world, but I know it's out there, somewhere. That thought makes me happier than anything else.
