A new threat?

Perhaps they have existed all along, we just haven't seen them yet. Let's not forget that the story reveals that Nobodies were working behind the scenes in KH1, and we just didn't see them. These "Desouled" (btw, I think that concept is pretty good) could have been behind the curtain the entire time.

Roxion is right, These new enemies could just be incognito for the time being, and only are just beginning their campaign (assuming that there will be new enemies). (To keybladelegacy): you said it yourself, There is no concept of death in KH. THAT MEANS NO ONE HAS DIED NATURALLY!!!! Or at least they have not died this way for a long time. that said there has been no possible way for a new creature to show up in the current games. so the ones that DO exist are most likely in hiding, as Roxion said before.

Now I'm believing this theory is possible. I wonder, is it possible to online chat with Nomura? I wanna ask him about this. It makes to much sense

It does make a lot of sense. But just one flaw..... All other threats (introduced in a "number game" I know the unversed don't count.) have been after the same thing, Kingdom Hearts. How would the "SoulSeekers" go about trying to obtain Kingdom Hearts. And I doubt Nomura will write it out of the story. I mean it's a pretty big plot driver. So any ideas on how they would threaten Kingdom Hearts, if at all?

You got to remember that their weren't inbetween worlds you could visit to see the nobodies. Also Nobodies were revealed in KH 1 FM.

I doubt they would be incognito for 12 or something years. They really have no where to hide.
That is not what it means. Of course people die naturally in KH.
Yes there has. People die naturally in Kingdom Hearts or just die of unnatural reasons. There would be a swarm of those things in existence.

    The Unversed count.
Heartless and Nobodies aren't after Kingdom Hearts.
They wouldn't because Heartless and Nobodies aren't after Kingdom Hearts.
No one threatens Kingdom Hearts. Xehanort is the only person after Kingdom Heart presently.

The SoulSeekers would probably just try to find hearts to re-create souls for themselves. Meh, who knows. And like Legacy said, Xehanort was the one after Kingdom Hearts. (Xehanort, Ansem SoD, and Xemnas)

The Nobodies were able to hide.

actually, for the Heartless, Ansem SoD was the only one. The regular Heartless just wanted other people's hearts. As for the Nobodies, it was just Xemnas and Organization XIII

Most or all nobodies are located in the inbetween worlds such as Twilight Town. They weren't hiding.

I can't name one but I'm assuming because of the Xehanort Reports.

That's the problem people die naturally even if we don't know them.

I don't understand this at all.

Only Xehanort is after Kingdom Hearts.

No not at all. Heartless and Nobodies pretty much existed before Ansem and Xemnas. You can't say a new leader's ambitions goes for the entire group that existed before him.

by reading the reports you gave us, Master Xehanort knew he was gonna die soon. Because he had so much power, he created Vanitus and the Unversed. He did this after he noticed the darkness within Terra. That's why he wanted Terra's youth. Because he'd still be able to control the darkness. Am I right?

Indeed you are. (To keybladelegacy): ok let me explain so that confusion will most likely be gone. The body is made of three key components: The body, the heart and the mind/soul. If some one loses their heart then a Heartless is formed which is the Heart swallowed by Darkness. If they had a strong heart then a Nobody is formed which is the body and soul, am I right so far? If I am then all three components are accounted for. Now then the theory behind the "SoulSeeker" is that the Soul is taken away from the Heart and the body, leaving them behind. As a result of the released soul a creature will be formed similar to the creation of a Heartless. Now you said that the Nobodies weren't hiding that they were in the inbetween worlds right? well maybe the "SoulSeekers" are doing something similar. Another thing I want to clarify is my statement on the Heartless and Nobodies. The Ansem Reports said that Ansem SoD was the Leader of the Heartless and His purpose was to give direction to the Heartless. Well, his direction was toward the control of Kingdom Hearts. same with Organization XIII, they gave Direction to the lesser Nobodies so that they could reclaim their lost hearts. You are correct in saying that in BBS Xehanort was the only one after KH, and in a sense you are correct about the other games as well. But Ansem SoD and Xemnas gave the same ambition to their underlings. Thus everyone was after KH. And another thing The Heartless showed up after BBS and before KH1, and the Nobodies are a result of the Heartless' taking of people's hearts. So they were not always around so It would be easier for them to remain hidden. "SoulSeekers" would be around longer because natural death existed before the Heartless. i realize this doesn't help the theory of "SoulSeekers" but I still wanted to make this clear.

I noticed that you said EVERYONE was after Kingdom Hearts. Wrong. Like I said, just because Ansem SoD, Xemnas and Organization XIII were after KH, doesn't mean EVERYONE was. Only the higher ups were. As for the SoulSeekers, they would be led by a more powerful SoulSeeker(s). If his/she/they were after KH, it doesn't mean the lesser SoulSeekers want KH to.

    Heartless: Devour hearts to darkness
    Nobodies: Reclaim their hearts
    SoulSeekers: Reclaim their souls
    Ansem SoD: Control KH
Xemnas and Organization XIII: Give hearts to KH to reclaim their own.

    BIG difference between them all

I fear I have found one flaw with the "Desouled" possibility: in the kh wiki, a soul is described as the driving force or the will power of a person. That means these enemies would have no drive to complete whatever their goal is. (Though I do not doubt that Nomura would find a way to make it work, as this possible new enemy DOES make a lot of sense)

I never really believed the soul gives a person will. I think will is just something separate

Ok fair enough. I admit that I was kinda vague on that one. Ok then I will agree that It is usually the "Higher-ups" who REALLY want Kingdom Hearts. This still brings me back to my question from earlier which is: "How does KH help the 'SoulSeekers' reclaim their souls?"

Actually Roxion what we're saying is that the "SoulSeekers" will come from the persons soul similar to the Heartless coming from the Darkness in people's hearts. Thus one could argue that the "SoulSeekers" will be MADE of willpower.

Actually Keyblade Masters are able to separate or draw out hearts and he did this to Ventus before seeing Terra but that wasn't the point I was trying to make.

The report explains that people die naturally!

    Yes.
It is not explained where the soul goes. Also heartless have darkness within it. Souls aren't mentioned to have darkness.
    Like where?

The Ansem Reports say the ultimate goal of the heartless are the heart of worlds. Ansem and Xemnas purpose weren't to give direction to the heartless and nobodies. The heartless and nobodies only listen to orders of stronger heartless or nobodies.

Heartless don't have thoughts. Really I see what your getting at but if we go by what your saying all heartless and nobodies would need to be destroyed because they are after Kingdom Hearts. That's just not happening.

Sorry your wrong Pureblood heartless always existed. What your talking about are the artificial.

    Not exactly.

It's safe to say if Pureblood Heartless existed few nobodies existed.

Exactly what I was getting at which makes it less likely.

This pretty much sums it up!

I don't get how it makes sense. I use too but not now.

More Specifically On The Soul In KH Doctrine: Soul - Kingdom Hearts Wiki - A world of information not accessible by Gummiship

    This being so...

Body = The basic physical shell of a being, wherein all other components are effectively stored until such a time that the body is destroyed, killed, etc.
The Heart = Emotional resevoire. And according to the wiki above, the Heart is also resoponsible for sustaining a being bodily. I think THIS is more the will power of a being, in any case, considering that beings with strong HEARTS are typically more adequately prepared to wield the otherwise debilitating powers of Darkness.
Mind = Pertains particularly to thought. Allots, for the most part, a being the ability to function logically, to think and plan out their actions, as opposed to operating on blind instinct. I beleive it is also somewhat responsible for the retention of memory?
Soul = From what I gathered from the wiki on the Soul in KH is that it holds its traditional role as being the life energy of a being. Kind of like Ki/Chi in Dragonball/Z/GT, I would imagine. So it's probably from the soul that magic is allotted to beings, ad what have you.

This being so, a "Desouled" being is a feasible acheivement. An old roleplaying buddy of mine actually had something of that sort running for one that he made a long while ago. Basically, the beings in question had been drained of their souls by what was basically a necromancing demon/spirit. Yet their Hearts were strong enough that their bodies were able to maintain physical function, and therefore, maintain animation. And the retention of their mind allowed them to think and plan out their course of action as they tried to find their soul again. Although, now that I come to think of it, they'd realistically be more so zombies, and their magic/powers would have to stem from an alternative force to function... perhaps the siphoning of a soul leaves some trace of a polar opposite energy or something. But I don't know. The point of it is that it isn't unfeasible to have some being that lives without their soul within.

I told you didn't I? So yeah, I think SoulSeekers should be the next enemy. Makes sense. The Heart (Heartless), the Body (Nobodies), and the Soul (SoulSeekers)

Edit: @Zhyriad-I see. Seems to make sense. But the Nobodies live without a heart. That's realistically impossible. SoulSeekers could do the same, except without a soul

I think that if the series is going to continue SoulSeekers will need to come into play. The series needs to continue to evolve in order to sustain itself and keep players interested. Nomura will always find a way to make it work.
