Avatar Book 4

Miku stood up feeling some pain, but ignored it.

"It's not your fault. We know that, plus we could have taken care of it. I could have, it's mainly my fault though, Will don't risk your life like that for me ok, I can't look at the sight of somebody getting really hurt or even dieing because they saved me." Miku said then looked at Will to see him asleep.

"Let's go and lay him down somewhere, he'll need some rest after today." Katara said. Miku nodded. Katara went and took Will away. Miku went to walk away, but stop.

"Your still upset? Listen, it's not your fault, it isn't anybody's fault here, ok. Plus we're still alive, these wounds will be healed over eventually. Plus we need to get tough, if we're going to be an awsome air bender like you." Miku said.

 

"I am, don't worry ok, at least everybody got out fine. Once summer comes back around and the snow is gone we can go and rebuild the village or fix it up." Miku said. She walked over beside Aang.

"Listen don't worry about me, I'll continue learning, training, and fighting, what happen isn't going to slow me down." Miku said. She looked at Aang and smiled to asure him so.

 

Aidan,Iroh,and the soldiers were once again on their ship,with another for the wounded with the one they had captured.He had found the Avatar,but soon lost sight of him and his compainions when the resistence surrounded him.They had been lucky to escape without loss of life."I wonder if we will be lucky enough to find them again."Then a soldier shouted "A water tribe ship is ahead!"Aidan walked to the deck and looked in the direction the soldier was pointing at and saw that,indeed,it was a water tribe ship."Maybe they will know where the Avatar might go?Soldier,hoist up a white flag!And full speed ahead!"Aidan shouted,the soldiers following his orders as they started to catch up with the ship.

 

Will slowly woke. His brain was fuzzy but he remembered a fight, a fire snake, and him jumping in front of it. Was this what truly happened. Will tried to stand but it stung. He turned to Aang. "It's not your fault. It's more mine than yours. I could've helped you but I didn't."

 

Miku looked over at Will. She turned back to Aang.

"Ok I'm ready. Don't go easy though train me like every other day." Miku said. She looked at him and knew he would watch it though. She didn't care, she really cared about getting stronger.

 

Will stood slowly, falling back. His body ached, yet it felt numb. One thought was running through his head. "Why don't you offer to teach Miku waterbending?" His eyes closed and the other half of his brain spoke back. "Well, we're learning airbending and plus we're probably to weak to even do that!" His thoughts were in so much trumoil he put his hands on his head.

 

The two ships were catching up to Aang's ship,and soon were within shouting distance."Hey,Avatar-sama!May I have a word with you.Iroh-san also wants to talk to you!"Aidan shouted,hoping they would here him and not attack his ship.He rather not have to fight the Avatar,even more so when he had allies while he mostly only had wounded.His ship was almost next to theirs now.

 

Will heard the shout and stood, adrenaline pounding through him, driving his hands and feet. He raised his hands and started to make a large hurricane on the water surface. As the winds rose Will felt his hair flap around his face and water splash onto the boat. He spoke, voice echoing across the water. "What do you want with the avatar?"

 

'Great,just what I didnt want.'Aidan thought.The water was getting rough,and while the ships were holding,he wasnt sure how long they could hold out on the bridge."We are here to ask for a helping hand.We are the remnents of the palace gaurd.Most of our soldiers are wounded that were not captured or betrayed us.Also,that boy you fought,Kaison,he is the one who headed the attack against the palace,trying to find Azula and kill Iroh-san!"When Iroh was mentioned,he just grinned cheerfuly and waved,completly at ease with the current situation.Aidan could only hope that Iroh's confidence was put in the right place.

 

Will slowed the storm and let the boat ease next to them. "I know of that boy, as you can see by my wounds." He said, voice hoarse. His ribs stung from the cold air. He wanted to sit, to lay down, to sleep, to pass out, to fade away. He just wanted to be relieved of all of this pain.

 

"Oh hello Aang!It has been so long.Well,until now everything had been ok.However,the resistance has taken the palace."Iroh said,his face at first joyful had now become grave at the last piece of news.Aidan stood there waiting to see what would happen as the two talked.He could see the other soldiers on deck,about four of them,were staring at Aang in wonder.The one who had brought them there short peacetime was now infront of them.

 

"Why yes,I do have my tea with me!Aidan,would you mind getting it?We can bring it to your ship."Iroh said.Aidan nodded and headed below deck,coming up moments later with all the things needed to make the tea."As for Zuko,I am not sure.He was in Earth Country last I knew,but he had not givin his location incase the resistance intercepted the letter."Iroh said,voice again grave,though not as much as before.

 

Will dropped to his knee when he heard Iroh's name. "Iroh-san, please forgive me." He mumbled, hands twitching. His father had fought for Iroh, dieing two weeks ago in a resistance battle.

 

Will swallowed, thinking Aang may have forgotten about his father. A tear started to roll down but Will froze it in place and flicked it off. "Aang, my father..." He mumbled.
