    Roderick looked at the new girl. Emily, he thought her name was. "Are you ok?" He asked her, finishing his drink. "Are you hungry or tired?"

    Emily had been a little taken away in her own thoughts up until Rodrick talked to her. Startled, she jumped a little but answered him calmly "I just came a long way... I must be a little tired."

    "Here, I'll be right back." Roderick went to the bar and bought three rooms for the night. Striding back he told Emily. "You have the largest room, my dear." Handing her the key he turned to the other recruit. He didn't know her name yet. "Your room is almost as large." He said to her, handing her a key. "I will see you all in the morning. If I am not awake when you get up, please wake me." Roderick said. When he was finished he went to his room, setting his curved dagger on the nightstand.

    "Maybe you should see our leader." The man said to Jarex.

    Emily smiled a little and stood to walk to the room purchased for her. She would thank Rodrick later maybe. She nodded to the other girl before walking to her room and closing the door behind her.

    "But it has many allies. I believe you would be a rich, wise king. Please don't make me drag you to Sarevok." Suddenly the man's eyes showed true fear. "He can do anything. Magic, swordsmanship, murder..." The man's voice cut off, then he smiled and held the bag of coins back up.

    A man covered in a pitch black cloak strode into the bar and took a seat at a table in a corner and waved for some ale. The waitress brought it over to him and tried to catch a glimpse of his face but only caught a blood red eye. The waitress walked back to the bar rather quickly before the stranger could even touch his cup. The man pulled back his hood revealing his pale complexion and his dark black hair, as well as his pointy ears. He raised the mug and emptied it quite quickly.

    Emily had been awake for hours, she had had a strange dream again. She couldn't bring herself to fall back to sleep so she got out of bed and began getting ready for whatever lay ahead. She walked out of her room and waited at the bar for the others to show up.
