Hmmm, you have a point. It may be true that they should pay for their actions and crime, not to mention the millions of women rapped my perverted mind men.

Anyhow, I know its difficult for a rapist to change, but they do.. I from 50, 1-6 can change.

 

I think the entire concept of the death penalty can only exist in our monetary based government/society. Because most, if not all criminals, grew up in poor sectors of society and are in jail. Of course this is a massive generalization, but think about it.

If there's no need for money, there would be no poor pockets. If there's no poor pockets, and we focus on a more intelligent plan to utilize resources/fuel/etc... then using the death penalty would be pointless.

I'm way too tired to go on with this point... xD But what I say is, we can avoid the death penalty completely by changing the conditions that warrant this sick behavior. :3

 

Although there are many good points in this debate, there is also alot of argumenting, fighting and flaming. If this continues i will delete the thread. Also try to keep the debate on topic of weither the punishment in question is right or wrong, dont stray to other issues barely concerning this. I will be keeping my eye on this thread and hope to see no more arguements. Thank you.

I support the Death penalty. A rapist doesn't deserve jail, he deserves death. A murderer doesn't deserve jail, he deserves death. Like thieves should have their hands cut off. because of "political correctness", righteousness is ignored.

The death penalty is silly. People can and do change and we should not take that possibility away from them.
My friend worked at a prison during school work experience, he was told this story of a man who murdered several children.

"I was patrolling the cells one night when I noticed a shadow on the steps, I approached it cautiously and found it to be a criminal who had managed to break from his cell sitting on the steps.
I took a deep breath and sat by him, we talked for what seemed an hour as he explained to me how he managed to get out of this cell. At the end of the conversation he asked me to lock him up better and to upgrade the security of the facility as it seems easy to get out of. He then went back to his cell and went to sleep.
I then went back to the office and reviewed the videos of previous nights and found he had done this for about 4 months."

Whether this story is true or not does not matter, it shows that people can change if they want to. Killing them only takes away the opportunity.

And as said before, if you kill a criminal are you not just as bad as them, with your logic it seems that a criminals family member can then come and kill you...

P.s - I believe the word you are looking for is ignorant.

I can see alot of members here are serious about there religion.

 

I say yes because to many get away with killing. Sadly I had a cousin that was shot down a block from his sister's house the day he got home from the military. He was also on the phone with his mother. That was six years ago and the killer is still at large. Does that deserve execution? I believe so because the man has killed many people.
