Im aware that its a common case style, but it isn't actually that hard to prove. And honestly, if someone killed all of my family, I'd happily take the penalty just to get rid of him. And if you "lose it" sounds alot to me like insanity, which is pulling this in a whole different direction.

while I agree with the death penalty, at the same time there is not one person on earth I trust to carry it out, too much human error and biases
    also
about the not able to discern good from bad thing, I think its important to include that if you think the bad thing you did was good then your case is almost locked down

The only reason that it is hard to prove is that it is used so much. Even for the criminals that do do the crime for a dumb reason.

Yeah, but its very possible to tell the difference between a real crime of passion and a killer who broke into a store and called the killing of the store clerk a crime of passion.

Depends on the evidence. Remember some people FABRICATE evidence.

Um... like 1 in 10. Don't paint the negative stereotypes and try to say everyone does it.

@Zenrot:He said "some people," not everyone, fyi. Fabricated evidence is nothing new and it's nothing to just overlook with a ratio that is probably not completely accurate. I'll agree it happens but there's no need to marginalize in such a way.

And uh... yeah. I don't feel any human should have the right to judge another. I don't care how "right" it might seem to punish him/her (for any reason), something that complex and that arbritrary should not be something that anyone should care about. And if anything, should be decided by group on what to do with him/her if it's THAT bad.

Certainly some people have done something of horrific action that I would label as "bad," but to go as far as to pass something as inadequet as capital punishment is completely unneeded. It's no better than organized murder, and it costs a lot of money. And in some cases, the criminals die in jail before ever going through the execution.

People are just sitting prison for a long time, eating out money while they wait to die. Thats expensive, PLUS they cost a lot to kill.

HAHAHA is your argument against the death penalty that people just sit there in prison eating up money? That is the main argument against YOUR side. Also, killing them doesn't cost very much.

How long do you think it takes for them to run out of appeals? Thats a incredibly long process. Their practically old farts by the time they do die.

Oh well, too bad for then!

Well anyway, since I been gone for a long time.

Well, some people do Fabricate evidence but that rarely happens. We live in a world full of violence, and there is no Utopia, even though some people think there is a Utopia out there. We have to learn how to interact with others to a certain degree. It feels wrong to take some one life away, but you got do what please people.

Everyone wants to see a serial killer or a serial rapist get killed. The public eye doesn't mind, but we know it is wrong. Every one should get another chance at life, but you got to do what you got to do. Some people wait on Death Row, for years, and eventually they do die without getting leathal injection.

Justice, she is blind, remember that.

If only we were like Japan. Small police state and low crime rate. =3

Ifs are nothing but hopes. We live in a hopeless world, doomed to chaos. We have to learn to forgive someone for something, no matter how horrific. I know we all think that killing someone for killing is the best way of dealing with them but who are we to pass judgement on someones life for their sins? Judgement will pass on them with or without our help. The best we can do is put them somewhere were they are not a threat to society.

What happens if you don't believe in christianity or any religious structure? Then by your logic they get off scott free for ending someones life.

You can say that we do live in a chaotic word, but I do believe that we have hope. We have hope that we can provide order into the word through laws and justice. We weigh their hearts. If their heart is merely evil, then he/she is guilty. There is no perfect world out there, I wish there was, but anyway if their was, chaos still follows. It is ashame that we can't get a long, but it is life. The world is changing. Murderers, rapists, robbers, cop killers, and drug addicts still roam the world and persuade others to join their cause.

Japan is another country fill with chaos. Money talks remember that. In Asian countries, money talks and you can get with away with anything.

Still, murder for murder is just plan murder. Lock em all up in a facility under a mountain with only one way out and then put national guard members in place to guard the fuckers.

^Thats ridiculous. "Don't kill them, just lock them in a mountain and use valuable resources to keep them alive and guarded". Stupid.

ok.. honestly i would say let them get what's coming to them. But not by human hands though. like zerieth said: murder for murder is just plain murder. it won't change anything except the fact we erased another person from the face of the earth.

Good. I have no problem with erasing them from the face of the earth if they deserve it. Everyone who is saying its not fair or its unjust, it wasn't fair to the people he killed.

Ok, lets erase you then. At least I put forward a good idea. Just stick em someplace they can't get out of. A mountain works. Put em in there and then just put a few people to guad the entrance. Easy 3 man job.
