    Not exactly. thats not the story thats what the people that live on earth find out.

    A Saiyan warrior was the last of his kind. Helped Dr . Gerald Light build the prototype Warp engine. they finally found the Saiyan planet only to find it at war with a neigboring nation. But there is a main plot line that involves someone else. hes obviously trying to gather the dragonballs to achieve immortality.

    The saiyan war is just a sub plot.
