Ultima was not so sure about Dalxin's interpretation. When he first deciphered the words, he had a feeling it meant a goddess of dark flame, who might have had her power taken away. Then she would try to resurrect it. This, in the Lyan language might have made sense, or maybe Ultima had mistranslated a word. But as for now, Ultima was open to both ideas. He hadn't noticed what was going on around him, he was simply staring at the wall, as if trying to contemplate something.

He hadn't noticed what was going on around him, he was simply staring at the wall, as if trying to contemplate something.

Ultima looked at Zane. Two things came to his mind:

One: Zane was a Lyan
- this estimate only had the evidence of him reading the language

Two: Zane was a Cosmopolyglot
- this would mean he could read or speak any language with no difficulty
-this was supported by the absence of all Lyans for centuries
- he read the language as if in trance

His evidence pointed to Zane being a Cosmopolyglot. He stood there looking at Zane.

 

Ultima had heard of Twilighters before, but never had he met one. He knew a few things about them... including the fact that they were all cosmopolyglots... the spirits residing within them acquire vast knowledge of the world which they can never exist in, including languages.

But Ultima wanted to make connections. The reason everyone was here, the goddess, the twilighters... What could it be? The question would remain to be unanswered for some time to come...

 

Something held Ultima back. Someone. It was Neozai. He dragged Ultima around the corner.

Ultima, don't you dare.Do you remember the brainwashing incident with MGERS? Exactly. You were brainwashed. You never became the powerful. Nothing is that powerful. 'Ultimatrix' never existed and never will. You are still weak. Not from that, but from the... other... thing... I can't tell you about that. There is a reason I wiped your memory... And if you knew, you'd be dead. But I can tell you when you are strong enough... And that will be soon... You must find three things, one of which you already have. The Aero Chain, the Lyan Bow, and the Eternal Energy. Together, the three will... well... You will see. But now, do not fight alone. Only fight together with Axela. she can protect you.

Ultima heeded his brother's words. He probably knew Axela better than himself, probably because he raised her for her first six weeks. Or maybe because his memory was wiped. He just went with this.

Ultima looked at the demon. Axela rushed up to the demon, and Ultima followed and anticipated. She went head on, but jumped to the side. Ultima didn't catch this. He ran directly into the demon. However, Axela jumped to the side on purpose to confuse her master, making him run into something, but not the demon. She rammed into the leg of the demon, forcing him to fall over and Ultima ram him again. But the was all Ultima could do. Axela forced him sit out after that. It was up to Zane, Axela, and Draco. Maybe even Dalxin.

 

Ultima saw Zane. He knew exactly what he was thinking, just from the look on his face. By now, ultima had encountered wind magic, and he could cope, but he has yet to encounter water magic.

Ultima called for Taka. And he appeared by his side.

Hey. I haven't seen you for a while... I can tell this is no time to chat...

Ultima looked at his spirit of magic. Being a part of him, they could understand each other. And Taka stayed in the shadows until the time was right. Taka positioned himself directly behind the flaming demon. Ultima, also in the shadows, postioned himself in front. Axela looked at Ultima. She realized Taka was there. She backed off to let them commence their plan.

Zane was barely in the way. He couldn't strike until he was gone. But Axela grabbed the back of his shirt and tugged. He moved for a few seconds.

Ultima jumped out at the exact moment that Taka had. They both attacked with wind. From both sides, the demon was under pressure. Standing on opposite sides, the two continually struck with wind. Finally, they traded wind. Looking at the demon, they passed the wind to the right an received from the left. Wind was being circled around the enitire room. They started to close in. The ring of wind got smaller and faster as it encircle the demon.. The flame began to flicker. Faster. Smaller. The flame was extingushed. A total vacuum had been achieved. The room was full of wind. Ultima yelled to Zane.

Zane! Move to the edge of the room! Now!

Zane followed his orders. And then, as the vacuum was released, Ultima gave consent for Taka to leave. The wind blasted out of the room, forcing everything to the wall. One had to close his eyes in order to prevent them from being blasted with air. When Ultima open his eyes, Taka was gone. He vanished with the wind. However, the demon remained. It's flame was extinguished. Ultima was of no more use to this battle whatsoever. He yelled.

Zane! Axela! Now! Defeat him!

Ultima watched as Axela tackled demon with no effect. Zane went to the other side of the demon. He couldn't see. However, he did see Axela look multiple times at what seemed to be Zane. Then Axela jumped on the demon again. This knocked it over. Axela crawled to it's neck. She seemed to have bitten the neck of the demon, but Ultima blinked. The darkness that was solidified into the demon was now swirling in the air, forming a sphere. Ultima walked up to the sphere. When he got close, the Aero Chain pulsated, so much it was almost like a shockwave. The Aero Chain had begun floating and glowing in front of Ultima. The sphere of darkness became uneasy. It changed form... It formed into... a bow. The darkness slowly faded from the bow. In the center of the bow was a gem... just like the Aero Chain. The string was taut, the bow was perfect.

Ultima knew this was the Lyan Bow.

Axela came up to Ultima and Zane did the same seconds later. He decided he would keep the bow, and anyone who said otherwise was dead wrong.

Didn't we have more guests?

Ultima looked into the darkness.
