    Halloween Bash 2012: Round 2
    KuraiKeyadeMaster vs. Zacax: The Gunsmith

Setting: You're not of of the woods yet, as the saying might go. You'll be battling in a forest, but it's far from being a normal forest. The trees here are rather thinly spread, giving the area a bit of an open feel. But they are rather tall, and their branches, far at their tops, stretch far enough to shade over the forest floor below. The creaking of wood seems more frequent here, as though the trees are themselves living, breathing, speaking creatures. To make things more eerie to travelers and warriors, it's nighttime as you're battling, and a thick fog hangs at knee-height. In a addition, the roots of the high trees are long ones, pulling up over the surface of the forest floor; watch your step, lest you trip over one.

    Battle Conditions
    • This battle will last for a week.
    • Combatants will battle one has admitted defeat or incapacitation, or until the time has run out.

  3. Keiko flew through the tall, twisting canopy of treetops upon her broomstick. The creaking of the wood and the swaying of the fog made for quite an eerie atmosphere. Reminds me of home, Keiko pondered. Images of her burning parents flashed in her head. She began to bite her thumb; for some reason, physical pain seemed to cancel out the pain she felt from her memories. She stopped just before she started to bleed, and pushed those thoughts out of her mind.

Keiko maneuvered her broomstick and hopped off onto a thick tree branch. The broom dissipated instantly. Underneath her, the tree moved slightly... and then it spoke:

"Gettt off meee..." It groaned in a low tone. Keiko smacked the bark (which probably hurt her more than it) and shushed it.

"Shut up!" She growled in a harsh whisper. "Not another word from you or I'll set you aflame. I'm a witch, you know." In reality, she had no fire magic to speak of, but the tree didn't know that; it remained silent. "Good," Keiko commented with a sigh. She examined her position. It would be difficult to see her from the ground due to the dense foliage of the tree. Keiko decided that she would wait there until her challenger arrived.

"Where the f*** did that Vampire go?! Ah who the hell really cares? He was a pain in my a** anyway, now I have to get out of here," the Hell Hound boy said as e walked trough the forest with his fire fist lighting a path, he could care less for forest fires.

Unbeknownst to Blaze, he didnt realize he had another opponent, so he decided to relax on a tree for a bit, his hand was still ablaze and he placed on the bark of a tree. However, this tree was the same one the Witch was on. He was oblivious to this, and decided to kick back and sleep, he loved a warm place to sleep on.

"Nothing makes a guy sleep faster than sleepin on a burnin' tree," Blaze chuckled as he he shifted and began to snore, rather loudly.

  5. Keiko saw the fiery child approach, and had a few seconds to analyze her opponent. He lit his path with a flaming fist, making it extremely easy for Keiko to spot him.

He just walks right out in the open like that... Keiko thought, taking out the scroll in which her summons to the arena were written. A Hell Hound... I guess that explains the fire. Then she heard her opponent's tirade and was dumbfounded. This... is my opponent? He's a babbling idiot... As the Hell Hound approached the tree she was in, she slowly moved away from him, silently jumping onto the branch of another tree nearby.

"Nothing makes a guy sleep faster than sleepin on a burnin' tree,"

He's not really going to... Keiko thought, but was interrupted by the bright orange-red glow of fire on bark. Her mouth hung open, unable to believe the carelessness of the Hell Hound.

"H-hey!!" the tree roared in a deep baritone. "You said you wouldn't burn me if I was quiet!! I haven't said anythinggg....." The speech degraded into a low whine as the tree burned alive.

Great, Keiko thought. Now I can't jump him while he's sleeping, that voice will clearly wake him. She aimed her palm at the ground below her, activating her Golem Familiar. Out of the soil, rock and roots of the forest floor, a seven-foot tall magical construct rose. The Witch pointed at the Hell Hound and mentally gave the Golem a command: "Kill."

The hulking beast lumbered toward the Hell Hound. It swung its right arm at the opponent, attempting to smash him in between its dense fist and the tree.

Blaze snorted as he woke up and saw the tree screaming as it burned, "Well s*** that tree was alive! I guess I could piss on him to make the flames go out... But I'm not in my wolf form to make it less awkward and that's only gonna put the tree in more misery... Welp, hoped ya lived a good life a tree could, and uh...may you rest as uh...charcoal....ER...you know what I never did a memorial, let alone to a tree so...yea," he sheepishly said. As he walked away, he turned and saw a Golem heading towards him.

"Well s*** I'm still fighting?! Well at least you don't seem annoying so..." Blaze said, but then it sent a fist towards him. Blaze jumped to the side, away from he mighty fist of the golem.

"What the f-HEY!" Blaze growled as he took note of the witch in a tree. He pulled out two of his three signature katanas and chared towards the tree and growled like a wolf as he kept approaching, faster and faster, ready to strike down the witch.

  7. Hmph. Completely ignoring the Golem... that will prove to be deadly, Keiko thought as she saw the boy draw his fire katanas and charge toward her. Keiko quickly used her teeth to rip open the skin on her pointer finger and drew an Amaya seal on the tree trunk. Presumably, the Hell Hound would try to jump up into the tree to fight her. A torrent of purple needles rained down on top of him, preventing his ascent.

At the same time, the Golem bounded toward the Hell Hound from behind. It attacked the Hell Hound with both arms this time, bringing them in from its sides and attempting to smash its opponent in between them. The combination of attacks would be nearly impossible to dodge, as the Golem's arms swept in from both sides while the rain of purple needles hailed down from above. Even dodging forward wouldn't work, as the large tree was right in front of the Hell Hound. Keiko watched with glee as her attacks unfolded.

Blaze took note of the ground shaking and the sound of needles. He quickly fell to his back, lying back as the fists would collide. The needles would simply fall on the rocky beast while he crawled towards the opening in the legs. And so he did, he crawled through the legs and turned into wolf mode as an inferno of re flames surrounded him. He snarled and turned his tail into a. Fiery whip and sent it flying at the Golem's and then he woul pull when it made contact. In this form he was fast, and he could outrun the Golem.

He barked at the witch as his mouth started to ignite flames in his mouth.

  9. Keiko jumped off of the branch and onto her broom, then flew down to the ground. Touching the Golem on the arm, she dispelled the magic and the construction became a pile of earth again. Keiko put out her hand as inky shadows came from her palm and coalesced into the form of a one-handed sword. She took a poised stance where her blade was pointed toward the wolf. "The first move is yours, Hell Mutt, if you have the courage to make it."

The Hell Hound snarled as he jumped into the air and whiplashed his fiery whip-like tail again at the witch. He barked at her, obviously pissed a the fact that she called him a mutt. If somehow she dodged, he would simply charge in with his body in flames, like a middle heading for its target.

  11. Kekio smiled. The mutt was getting angry, and that's exactly what she wanted. Her opponent jumped into the air as his flaming tail whipped toward her. At the last second, she sidestepped, causing the tail to fly past her. Before the tail could recoil, Keiko dashed forward and made two swift over-hand slashes at the airborne wolf. Since the wolf was in the air the attacks would be incredibly difficult to dodge, but knowing the wolf's tenacity Keiko lengthened her chain of attacks. Before the wolf fell from the air, she slid into a crouch underneath him and performed a spinning stab upward.

After the combo of attacks, the hell hound swallowed its agony and focused on fighting as he striked at the Girl to latch his teeth onto the leg of the witch and clamp on. He wasn't backing down yet. This witch was more of a b**** rather than an actual spell caster. His eyes glowed red as his flames as his fangs were eclipse into fire.

  13. Keiko saw the wolf bite at her leg. She considered dodging, but did not, as she liked the opportune situation this put her in. The wolf's teeth dug in above her ankle and she held back a scream. When she felt the fangs heat up she knew she had to act. With her bleeding pointer finger, Keiko attempted to quickly draw a Jirai symbol on the wolf's back, then she plunged her sword down at the wolf's neck. If her opponent didn't let go and dodge, the sword would cut his throat.

The wolf tilted his eyes up and saw her with a cunning look on her face. He felt a finger on his back, and thought she was going to do some voodoo s*** on him. He quickly let go of his clamping onto her leg and dropped to the ground on his four legs as a red inferno eclipsed him, turning him back into his human form. He drew out his swords and readied for any move she would try on him,

"You know what? I'm not so much into fast women," he said with a smirk as he spun his blades.

  15. The Wolf jumped away, leaving the Jirai symbol only half-drawn on his back. The opponent then reverted to his human form.

"You know what? I'm not so much into fast women,"

"And I'm not so much into mewling mutts," Keiko retorted. She looked down at her left leg. She had acted quick enough so that she didn't sustain too much damage, but the bite would still make it difficult to move. Not to mention that she had been extensively using her abilities. Keiko was fatigued, but she wouldn't let it show, not against this arrogant mongrel.

Keiko took a deep breath, as she knew she would have to keep using her abilities if she was going to win. She twisted one of her hands until it was palm-up, activating her Golem Familiar. In a matter of seconds, a new earth Golem rose up behind the wolf-boy. Keiko felt a twinge of pain but hid it well. She withdrew her notebook and quickly scribbled a symbol inside of it, thought the opponent couldn't see which one from his vantage point. Replacing the notebook, she then resumed her fighting stance, her sword pointed at the opponent. She slowly closed in from the front as the Golem did the same from behind.

When they were in melee range, the Golem made a sweeping attack with one of its stony arms. At the same time, Keiko dashed forward and feigned a stab; if the opponent blocked like she wanted, Keiko would then perform a spinning slash at his head.

Blaze's ears had picked up the formation of the golem behind him. Two enemies heading his way. He looked around real quick and then let the Golem hit him first, which sent him flying to the side. He felt pain yes, but he held in his agony and stabbed his swords into the ground and stopped his course into a tree. He pulled out his swords and spun them, which then he withdrew them, and eclipsed his fists into fire and snarled,

"For the record, I'm a pure bred, just look at my mom," he said as he jumped into the air and sucker punched the head of the Golem, he hoped his strength would cause a crack or dent in its head, "We'll at least the vampire boy didnt use minions!"

  17. "For the record, I'm a pure bred, just look at my mom,"

"You're half-human, half-wolf. That makes you a mutt," Keiko curtly informed the Hell Hound. And how would I look at his mom? Idiot, She continued within her head. Her thought was interrupted when she saw the boy flying through the air. The Golem's attack had landed. The boy stopped himself with his swords, then immediately jumped into the air for a counter-attack. There! Keiko thought. She snatched her notebook and whipped it at the airborne boy.

"Jurai!!" Keiko yelled just as the notebook neared the Hell Hound's face. The book exploded into a burst of powerful purple energy. A huge chunk of the Golem was blown up, sending dirt and roots flying everywhere. Keiko shielded her eyes then quickly looked up to see the aftermath.

Blaze's face was implanted on the ground as he slowly got up from the aftermath, "You aren't really familiar with hell hounds are you?" He asked as he got up onto his feet and growled at her. His whole arms were covered in fire as he jumped at her and sucker punched her, hoping his strength would knock that pretty little face to the ground, then he would drill kick her, whilst his foot was on fire.

  19. As the Hell Hound's fist came flying toward her, Keiko used her good foot and gracefully sidestepped, making the motion seem utterly effortless.

"You'd really go for a direct attack after all you've learned from fighting me?" Keiko asked. "How foolish!" Keiko drove her sword horizontally toward her opponent's stomach. Using the momentum from the attack, she then dashed forward and hopped onto her broom and flew near the treetops high enough so she would be difficult to attack, but low enough so the two could still see each other clearly. She had this impending sense of urgency, as if she had to end the battle now.

"Well, it's been fun, you flaming furball," Keiko called out to the Hell Hound. "By fun, of course, I mean horrendous. This world will be better off without you..."

A flash of doubt shocked Keiko's mind. I've already used a lot of energy... is it really safe to use the Akuryou form...? Keiko paused for a moment and lowered her head. Then, see looked back up with strengthened resolve. She re-opened the wound on her finger and began to draw a symbol upon her forehead. As soon as it was finished, a loud boom reverberated throughout the forest. Keiko's head hung loosely from her shoulders. A moment of silence passed.

Then, a huge burst of wind blew through the trees. It shook the leaves around Keiko and the Hell Hound until a symphony of rushing foliage could be heard. A low moan began to resonate as the living trees voiced their nervousness.

The little girl on the broom stick began to change; first, her legs became transparent and morphed together to form a ghostly tail. Her arms grew at least twice their size and became long ribbons of darkness, her hands disappearing. The broom fell out from under her and vanished in a black puff. Finally, her face became porcelain and doll like, as red wisps of aura came from her chest and trailed through either side of her hair, which was now a dark, shadowy mass.

Akuryou Keiko looked down at the Hell Hound. Her eyes took on a murderous glint and her mouth opened up, aiming down at her opponent. A blood-red light shined from her maw as a beam of searing energy burst forth, flying toward the Hell Hound. The Murder Beam sliced into several trees along the way, causing a series of low-pitch, gargled cries for help.

Keiko's Akuryou form was activated. No one would be safe from the carnage.

The hell hound was able to avoid the blade, from hitting his stomach. But the blade sliced through the skin of his left arm. He grimaced as she escaped, and withdrawed all of his blades. He looke and saw her transform. He felt everything shake as the transformation happened. He heard te trees grow nervous, fearing the worst. He saw her in her Akuryou form, and whimpered a bit but then growled as he got ino a fighting stance. The beam fired as it headed towards the wolf. He went into wolf mode and jumped into the air, avoiding the beam. He was stunned at what was happening, the little girl turned into...THAT!

He then readied his greatest attack, knowing t would be his best option. He barked loudly, sending a sonic boom of sorts towards the witch, and soon after it, a white fiery inferno following after. This was it, no backing down now.
