Halloween Bash 2012 - The Werewolf Arena

Discussion in 'Roleplay Arena' started by Become, Sep 17, 2012.

  1. Keiko saw Kilet get into position to attack and readied herself to dodge. When the blast of sound came, she wasn't able to move fast enough to dodge it completely. Keiko clasped her ears and rolled to the side. This allowed her to dodge the rain of bone, which then hit the back of her Golem. When she recovered, her ears were ringing loudly, but she was able to center herself and concentrate on the fight.

First, Keiko ordered the Golem to grab Kilet. It did its best, running forward and attempting to seize the Carver. Keiko anticipated that he would dodge, so she summoned another Shadow Javelin and speared her notebook. She then tried to anticipate where the Carver would dodge and threw her Javelin in that direction. When it got close enough to her target, Keiko yelled "Jirai!!" and activated all three of the explosive seals at once, making a large purple explosion near the Carver.

You guys really haven't made this an easy battle to judge. Not only has it been a short, low-post engagement, but the two of you have proven, roughly, even in ability here. I've had to pick my brains apart for a few hours over it, but this is my ruling, plain and simple:

Kurai moves on to the finals. It wasn't as much a matter of the skills he applied in this battle, but, largely, a matter of his approach to it. As I've read the few posts that the two of you have been able to make, I find that Kurai engaged his character more actively, whereas Requiem seemed to have taken a relatively passive approach. I've also noticed that throughout, Kurai did maintain a more consistent rate at post response. The differences are small, really, but it's the only way I'm able to judge this battle.
