@Kitty, did you watch the premiere? I missed it; due to watching "Scream Queens". Didn't even know it was on till I changed the channel!

No, I had a freaking staff meeting, of all things. I think it's on Hulu; I'm going to try and watch it tomorrow if so- I've been too busy to sit down and watch TV yesterday and today. My life, ugh. v_v I'll post again after I've seen it, and hopefully will get back on track for next week's episode. Apparently it's gotten pretty solid reviews; I've tried to avoid reading too much because spoilers, but there seemed to be an aura of positivity. We'll see.

Not to derail the thread too much, @Angel, but what did you think of Scream Queens?

I can't say it was "good". It was okay. It's very similar to American Horror Story: Coven (possibly because the writer of AHS and Emma Roberts both played major parts in both works). But yeah, Horror comedy is a terrible genre to begin with, so I can't say that I particularly liked it. I enjoy seeing a lot of famous children celebrities (I guess not children now) that I knew i.e. Emma Roberts, KeKe Palmer, Nick Jonas, Ariana Grande, the chick from Glee.

That's unsurprising, but still a little disappointing. I saw previews and thought maybe it could be something. *shrugs*

I just got done watching the Heroes Reborn premiere. They showed the first two episodes back-to-back, which was honestly a good choice because they felt like one episode. Airing them one at a time would have left the first episode a bit empty feeling, I think. I thought the episodes were pretty good. Some characters and storylines I was more engaged with than others, but it was that way with the original show, too. I suppose to sum up, I'd say that I'm optimistic to see where the series is heading, but it's too early to really cast judgment.

Haven't bothered to post in a while, thought I'd write a little here since the mini-series is half way through with this latest episode.

Man, I just don't know about this. It's been going good, not perfect, but I can overlook a lot because fangirl, but this episode... Writers everywhere, an fyi, borrowing crucial parts of your storyline from Star Wars (especially the prequels) is a bad, bad idea. Just, no. I legit would have facepalmed while watching this episode if I hadn't been running on a treadmill at the time. I just hope the series is going somewhere good with this and the payoff will be worth it. Otherwise, head canons to the rescue, I suppose.

    Edit:
Well, I was almost right. Nailed the Petrelli family part, missed where the kid actually falls in the family tree. Can thank George Lucas for that one. <_<

I know no one cares about this show but me (but if any of you have seen it, let's talk!), but I just finished the series finale (and gotta vent!) and let me just say, overall this show is a big fuck you to the fans. They bring back original characters just to screw them over (or screw them up, writing-wise), and the people who made this have stressed from the beginning that it was a 13 episode mini-series, designed to be completely self-contained, and then they go and end it on a fucking cliffhanger when there's no plans for a second mini-series, and didn't tie up like any of the loose ends. Ugh. I was willing to overlook a lot if the ending pulled through, but no.

They did introduce a few interesting new characters, and some episodes were pretty good taken individually; it's not all bad. But overall, this mini-series was worse than any season of the original run. v_v Now to promptly pretend that the events of this mini-series never happened, and everyone in the original show had a happy ending.

I enjoyed the show being back. Thought the premise was incredibly interesting in a way not done recently. Acting was solid, the twins of Claire Bennet was a cool twist. Sad that we're not gonna get a another volume of this because of the lower veiwership. I'm thinking of writing a fan letter and hope NBC changes it's mind.

According to some article I saw, NBC is leaving it open for more stories set in the Heroes 'verse to appear in the future, whenever Tim Kring feels he has another story to tell. So hope is not lost.

My last post was a little ranting because I'd only just finished the finale, but in reality, for the most part, I did enjoy having the series back. There were some cool new characters, and I liked various story arcs. I think it would have benefited from a full season order, rather than being a mini-series, because some things weren't delved into as deeply as I would have liked, or explained as well as they could have been.

It's really just the finale that bummed me out. Killing off probably the best actor and character in the revival was a poor choice, and I didn't feel like the finale really wrapped anything up. I also thought some of the original characters were handled poorly, Matt Parkman being a prime example of character assassination. It wasn't totally out of character, given his powers, family history, and previous questionable acts, but I liked him generally in Heroes, and here he was just a total douche. And I thought the twist of the twins was predictable. Once it was revealed Claire died in childbirth, I knew the kid was going to be either Tommy or Malina, and once it was revealed that she had twins, it was a no brainer for me. Erica was a little underwhelming to me as a villain, especially if you compare her with Sylar. They waited a little too long to give her backstory. And Joanne was just awful, full stop. I hated her, but not in the way the show intended.

Some things I did like: Hiro! I enjoyed his character very much here. Along with him, Anne (Tommy's adopted mom) was one awesome, tough lady. Ren and Miko- the graphics of the game sequences were fairly awful, but I enjoyed their chemistry. Quentin and Noah team up in the beginning of the series- I liked the way they played off each other, and Quentin helped keep a light-hearted tone without being idiotic comic relief. Doctor Healy (aka, what I call Taylor's Dad)- I liked the idea of a special with such a kind, helpful ability using it in such a demonic way because he's just an asshole. Or rather, I liked that he was a horrible person on his own, rather than his powers making him evil. I could have watched him as a main villain, no problem.

There's more I can go on about, no doubt, but I suppose that's enough rambling talk for now. :)
