Will nodded. "He tries to hurt him, I'll help Tom Angel. I'll help all of you even if it meant going to hell and back." Will told them.

 

"The reason why I am afraid of seeing him again is because of what he did a long time ago," Tom muttered, "But having you near me should help."

 

Will's head snapped up. "What did he do?" Will asked immedeatly.

 

"Well...... I remember that one day...... I was outside of my house," Tom started, staring off blankly, "He came out of the house, gave me a hug....... And....... He just..... Drove off. He left me...... I haven't seen him since." Tom started thinking about that day. And then he thought about how horrible his life was when it was just him and his mother.

 

Will smiled. "Kinda like mine, except they left me for dead in the woods." He said.

 

Will nodded. "Yeah, seriously." Will said.

 

"I've been wondering that myself," Tom answered, "I don't know what was going through his head."

 

"Good luck, I'll only help if you need me." Will said.

 

Will could tell something was wrong. "Angel, you ok?" He asked, biting into his second cheeseburger.

 

Tom looked into her eyes, "Are you sure? Do you want to talk about it? Just the two of us?"

 

Tom looked back at Will, "I'm sure he's okay with it," he said, not really giving Will a chance to answer. He then whispered in Angel's ear, "And besides... We haven't talked, just the two of us, in a while."

 

"Let's go," Tom smiled. He took Angel to an empty room and shut the door, "Alright, what's wrong?"

 

"I don't know," Tom said, pulling Angel into a hug, "But I do know this. We don't need our parents. All that matters now is each other. I'd like to believe that our parents have always loved us, but it makes me wonder that if they did, why didn't they stay up. Perhaps, it is like what that one police officer thought before he got shot. That maybe the adults have been brainwashed or something."
