Hogwarts Glory Days

Chloe turned around looking at Apollo.

"April? She's probably on her way to her book club in the library." Chloe stated looking down at the chocolate frog that fell out.

'Is he going to the dance with that girl?' Her mind mentally wondered too.

"As for hanging out, it's getting awfully late, with curfew and all in an hour." She told him looking down at the case of chocolate frog. Shaking her head some before looking at him again.

'What if he didn't accept?' She thought to herself. 'He probably did though, and even if he didn't that was rude... But at the same time.' She but her lip.

"I guess we can hang out for a little bit before curfew." She said.

 

Chloe was a little caught off guard when he grabbed her hand an led to a balcony overlooking the Hogwarts grounds. She walked over and looked out feel in the late summer early fall breeze as the forbidden forest appeared orange and reds from leaves changing colors.

"You've been pretty much healed up for about 2 weeks now, if you still feel pain then you should probably get looked over because that's not good." She said.

"And I hope so because the first weekend of November you'll be face us."

 

"Yeah, wait what?" Chloe looked up at him as he started one conversation starter to the other. She looked at him confused not sure what to say.

'Did he accept that girl's offer? He probably did. Besides we're just friends, why would we go together?'

"No, I don't know if I'm going." She settled on saying. Though mentally she held her breath.

 

"I haven't had anybody ask me. And those in the past who tended to ask me out just aren't my type. I mean there's only one I would ever imagined going with but he's sort of Mr. Popular with two many girls swooning him. I probably don't even fall anywhere on his potential list of dates." Chloe said looking away thinking back to the Hufflepuff girl in the hall.

'He's going with her, I know it now, why would I want to go now with that?' She thought to herself.

Chloe looked at him a bit confused.

"The only girl i like, she's quiet, very cute but i know i'm not her type i'm just trying to build the courage i guess"

It's definitely not the Hufflepuff girl then. A quiet girl would never approach a guy to ask out, though she wouldn't say she wasn't nervous, that was still obvious.

She's quiet.

"Not her type?" Chloe looked at him. Who was this girl. Something though was full of anticipation as if knowing the answer and being excited about it.

"So is she in Hufflepuff?"

"Well, no she isn't. She's from another house, but I admire her a lot."

Ok that was one checked off the list in Chloe's book.

"Griffindor?"

"No she isn't those girls are too much for me."

Chloe foresaw that, she could ask about Slytherin, but just as much as herself, he didn't particularly care for the type of snobby, selfish girls there.

"Ravenclaw?"

"Well... uh... I guess... I mean..." Chloe looked at him, she knew the answer then as her heart pounded really fast, "Yeah, she is."

Chloe looked out over the balcony. Most of the sixth and seventh year girls on several occasions have tried to get Chloe to go out with him, but she always turned them away not believing it possible. Even the younger students thanks to April also on several occasions trying have started to get Chloe to go out with Apollo.

She bit the inside of her lip looking at him.

"What year?"

"Augh geez,really getting specific aren't ya haha, She's well um a six year like me self." Chloe looked at him.

"Describe her... please?" Chloe looked back out over the balcony again waiting. Her heart was pounding.

"Well, she's cute, very caring, People look up to her. She... well... she can be a bit stearn at times but I think shes got a cute soft side hiding behind it all. Really helpful and geez her hair, its so perfect." Chloe looked at him.

When he finished talking, what she did next even shocked her as she grabbed his Hufflepuff tie pushing up on her toes she kissed him.


April after book club went looking for Apollo to make sure he would ask Chloe out when she did spot them she stood their unnoticed smiling before quickly leaving and being sighted by the two of them. She quickly headed back the Ravenclaw common room.

"It's official, Chloe and Apollo are finally going out!" Chloe exclaimed upon walking in as most the Ravenclaw students looked up grinning. "I saw them! Chloe kissed him! And you all know Chloe was going to be the hard one to convince, well not anymore because she kissed him!"

"What about Apollo?"

"I didn't stick around, but he's had the biggest crush on her since forever. So you know he's probably all for it." Several of the Ravenclaw students got up as several of them wrote notes and released them out on the balcony. Like wildfire the rest of the school received words as the whole school learned about the two of them going out. Most students expected it. Some of course, like the Hufflepuff from earlier, were disappointed wanting to date one of the members of the Hogwarts destined power couple. The Hufflepuff quidditch team gobbled it up fast, as did all of the other house's prefects.


Chloe broke the kiss stepping away and looking away. Her face she tried to hide from him scarlet red as she brushed some of her brown wavy hair behind her ears.

"Sorry..." She was able to mutter out as she stood there. Her heart still pounding fast, adrenaline running through her body after that kiss. And that kiss she never experienced anything like that before. Nothing, ever, would be able to rival the feeling of her kissing Apollo. It had it's own sort of magical property.

 

Chloe's heart pounded as he pulled her into him again for another kiss feeling his hand around her waist and the other through her hair. She stood there shock before tucking her arms up under his and wrapping them around his back.

"It's always been you Chloe, i've always liked you so i guess i should go to the formalities... Chloe York, will you be my girl friend?"

Chloe stood there in his arms still looking up at him.

"I'm assuming that include's being your date for the dance?"

"Yes of course! that'd be awesome!"

"Then consider it so." She said giving him a quick kiss. She looked at him smiling. Her heart pounding as it would be a maestro for the performance of Handel's Messiah's second movement.

She smiled at him.

"It's getting pretty late..."

 

Chloe smiled at him turning and looking out over the balcony one last time. She stood there her heart still flustered. She finally pushed away only to be met with all the female prefects on duty standing there.

"Evening." She said to them.

"Evening." She looked at them confused.

"So, how's your evening going?" One of them asked.

"It's going alright...?" She looked at them confused.

"Did you find a date for the dance?" One of the other prefects, a ravenclaw, asked.

"I-"

"Oh quit teasing her, and cut straight to the chase."

"Chase?"

"You and Apollo."

Chloe stood there her face she felt heat up as it surely turned red.

"I... I don't know what you're talking about?"

"Well, according to the perfect little spy she saw you kiss Apollo." Her face was red.

"Who?"

"So it's true!" They all squealed. Chloe stood there shock brushing her hair back.

"Details, Chloe, details!"

"Don't you all have jobs to be doing. I have to go too, big match tomorrow, Ravenclaw versus Hufflepuff." Chloe said pushing her way through.

Only to get into the Ravenclaw common room to see them all standing around.

"So how was it, kissing my brother like that?" April jumped off the couch upon her walking in.

"You?" Chloe asked shocked.

"Yeah, and about time!" She exclaimed.

"So it's true!"

"Better question what about the match tomorrow?" The Ravenclaw seeker asked.

"Yes it's true, as for the match, oh the match is still going on, and you better grab that snitch. Good night." Chloe said before heading to the girl's prefect room.

She walked in the only girl in before changing into a nightgown and climbing into bed.

"Good night, Apollo, good luck tomorrow."


"Apollo!" Chloe exclaimed as she was running towards a full moon. She ran fast dropping her wand before feeling it. It was painless, it was successful as she ran on all fours. Her animagus form.

Chloe quickly woke up from her dream. She felt it in her dreams, her animagus form. Though why did it seem more like a nightmare to her than a good dream.

She looked up at the window. She threw the sheets off of her.

"Stop her!" Chloe grinned as she held the quaffle tucked under her arm. She was on fire for the day. Hufflepuff wasn't playing poorly, but thanks to Ravenclaw's being on fire for the day, her especially, they led an impressive 140-0 lead.

She watched as Hufflepuff beaters aimed a bludger as her. She grinned as she spun on her broomstick missing the attack as she threw the quaffle at the right ring, Hufflepuff keeper just missing it.

"Ravenclaw scores again, another 10 points. That's 150 points to 0, Ravenclaw!" Chloe sat on her broom as the other chasers grinned at her, the three of them had all scored quite a bit of goals.

She grinned, at the point it was obvious who was going to win when suddenly a gush of wind flew past her noticing blue and yellow cloaks flapping in the wind. She looked behind her seeing the two seekers going after the snitch.

"Chloe, look out!" Chloe looked and saw the bludger come right after her. She quickly turned on her broom but managed to slip off holding onto her broom with two hands. She looked and watched though in shock as the bludger followed through and hit the Ravenclaw seeker causing him to fall off his broom leaving just Apollo as the only seeker possible to catch the snitch.

 

Chloe nearly slipped off her broom before seeing Apollo come over and help her back up.

"Congrats." She whispered before he flew back over to his team.

"A tie, can you believe it?! That never happens." Chloe saw the rest of the team fly over towards her.

"That was pretty awesome though. You were incredible... Chloe? Chloe!" Chloe looked to her team members looking away from the celebrating Hufflepuff team.

"Huh yeah." She said smiling looking back at them.

"Thinking about your prince charming, again?"

"Shut up." She said laughing, but she was.


That evening was spent celebrating. Ravenclaw was currently 2-0 if they could beat two one more match they were sure to be in the Hogwarts Quidditch cup.

That night though, Chloe laid awake. She stared out the window looking outside. She smiled thinking about Apollo before going to bed.


The next day, a Sunday, they had no classes for the day. Most students slept in late, others were busy working on school work due the next day. Chloe on the other hand found herself, bright and early walking down towards Hagrid's.

Chloe stood on the doorstep of Hagrid's hut knocking on the door. She waited a few seconds before the half giant opened the door.

"Good morning, Hagrid." She greeted.

"Good morning, Chloe." Hagrid greeted opening the door and welcoming her into his hut.

"So what are you up to this early morning?" Hagrid ask as he walked over to poor some tea.

"Well I was going to try and work on my animagus form." Chloe said taking the cup of tea from Hagrid and saying her thanks.

"Your animagus, I was wondering if you were still working on that. I haven't seen you around." Hagrid said.

"I'm still trying, it's weird those yesterday I woke up dreaming about it. I had managed to get it down, however, the dream felt like a nightmare more than it did an actual dream. Apart from that, with the disappearance of that Griffindor student, I've been a bit weary to enter the forest." She explained.

"Thinking of which, I found this out on my walk yesterday after the quidditch match, good job by the way." Hagrid stood up and picked up a piece of fabric and brought it over to Chloe handing it to her. The fabric was in bad shape, ripped around the edges and worn some by weather, but one could tell based on the double sides this was from off of a Hogwarts cloak, a Griffindor cloak.

"Where did you find this?" Chloe asked Hagrid stood up and headed towards the door, Chloe getting up to follow.


Chloe knelt down on the ground where Hagrid explained finding the cloak piece. I'm planning to talk to Professor Dumbledore later today and hopefully get you and some of the other prefects and professors to help search around the area. Chloe stood up when something caught her eyes. She stepped over a fallen log pulling out her wand.

"Specialis Revelio." Hagrid looked at her confused as the leaves blew away revealing a rather revealing footstep.

"Say, Hagrid, a wolf or dog's footprint, how big can they get?"

"Well depends on the species."

"The size of my hand?"

"I'm not certain I know of any that big except-"

"A werewolf?" Chloe asked standing up and looking back at Hagrid who approached.

"I think you should head back." Chloe stood there looking at the footprint she uncovered.

"Hagrid, I know there's that pack of werewolf born werewolves, but they have never bothered students before." Chloe stated looking up at Hagrid as they walked back.

"Well, there was rumor of a new pack of werewolves gathering up an army."

"An army?" They emerged from the forest with Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall standing at Hagrid's hut.

"Professor!" Chloe exclaimed as they approached.

"Sir, we found more evidence besides what I found yesterday."

"Miss. York, if you could excuse us. I'm assuming you probably have a gown to go pick out for your date with Mr. Vance?" Chloe's eyes widened. How many people did April actually tell. She looked at the older wizard and glanced at Professor McGonagall before nodding and walking off though glancing back as they headed into Hagrid's hut.


She found herself wondering the corridors. She went down to let Hagrid know she was going to be practicing on her animagus form only to instead uncover werewolf tracks. She stopped walking suddenly when she found herself standing in front of the entrance to Hufflepuff common room.

 

Chloe looked at him and shook her head smiling at him.

"I know..." She frowned, "I know who might of took that Griffindor student." Chloe said.


The two walked along the trail. Her hands in the pockets of her peacoat as they took the trail leading to Hogsmeade. She stopped walking looking around to make sure nobody is around.

"I went to Hagrid's this morning, to try and go practice my animagus form, Hagrid then showed me a piece of a cloak, a Hogwarts Griffindor cloak. He showed me where he found it. And I found tracks... Werewolf tracks..." Chloe told him.
