Hogwarts Glory Days

As Apollo arrived with Chloe, professors quickly heard word as she was taken to the infirmary.

"Move! Move! Move!" Professor McGonagall pushed through with the nurse and Dumbledore.

"What happened?" Dumbledore spoke up and asked as McGonagall pulled out her wand.

"She's to a point that she's going to need a potion." McGonagall turned to Dumbledore before looking at Apollo, particularly his wrist before other professors also looked.

"Were you bit?" The nurse asked Apollo as Snape pushed through the crowd.

"Professor Snape, I need a transfiguration return potion." McGonagall spoke to Snape as he observed Chloe before leaving just as soon as he arrived.

Dumbledore looked to Apollo, "I need to know what happened."

Every day Apollo continued to visit as Chloe remained unconscious as the potion Professor Snape created was administered everyday. It took a bit before some of her transfigured animagus forms began to disappear. Strands of fur still blotched her skin in some places but was beginning to shed off.

"Don't worry, Apollo, she'll probably awaken just in time for New Years. How about you head to the Great Hall for Christmas feast." The nurse said laying a hand on his shoulder as snow fell from the sky outside in the Northern Scottland winter. A bedside table had christmas gifts scattered out delivered by a few of the students who knew her who were still on the campus grounds.

It was Christmas Eve, a week since the events had occurred, they had thought she would awaken by now, but knew that was not the case.

The nurse finished administering the potion, everything from her transfiguration just about disappeared except her ears. The nurse walked off probably to her office leaving Apollo and Chloe alone in the nurse infirmary.

It was dark leaving only the oil lamp light on from the bedside table and a Christmas tree in the corner with a few candles lit.

Apollo stood up as he started to head out listening to the nurse. Trying to stay quiet in the large infirmary. While walking in the dark though he managed to trip and fall with a thump as he fell face forward.

The thump seemed to echo in the room as Chloe's canine like ears moved, perking up at the noise.

Apollo pushed himself up cursing to himself in a whisper until he heard it, a female moan.

Chloe moaned to herself as she shuffled under the covers of the hospital bed. Her ears flattened back on her head as she sat up and stretched. Her eye fluttering open. She looked around the room her hand reaching up to her pounding head before she laid eyes on the ground to see Apollo there.

"Apollo?" She whispered, "Where... what happened?" She looked around asking.

 

"My head hurts..." She said, rubbing her forehead.

"My mouth tastes funny and I'm hungry for a steak or something..." She said smiling at him.

"And stress me? Out for awhile? Did something- happen?" She asked him glancing over at the christmas tree in confusion, "Isn't christmas like a week away...?" She asked him in confusion. She asked him glancing towards the table of cards, gifts, and candy.

She reached over and grabbed a card to read it, her ears laying flat on her head as she read it.

Merry Christmas, Chloe.

Hope you'll be back on your game for the quidditch match after break. We miss seeing you at the quad and await for your wicked chaser skills to rejoin us.

Well hope Snape's potion isn't too disgusting.

Chloe read the card from Martin, a Ravenclaw beater.

"So I've been out for a week, it's christmas, and why do I need to take a potion Snape whipped up?" Chloe turned and asked Apollo in confusion.

"The last I remember was I was taking a bath in the prefect bathroom..." Chloe said closing her eyes.

"If Fred and George put something in the water after I deducted their house points, they're going to wish they did more than just some sort of knock out charm..." She said her ears perked up high on the top of her head. Still neglecting to take notice of the fur on her arms and the canine/ feline like ears on her head.

 

Chloe handed her his hand looking at his face confused and even more confused until she felt them.

First she felt something touch her ears, her actual ears, but then in her hands she felt them.

Her eyes widened as she pulled away and noticed the fur on her arms. She quickly got out of bed and went to run towards a mirror on the wall before slipping on the smooth floor and falling with a loud crash.

She cringed at the fall before pushing herself up and looking up at the mirror. Her body was covered in brown fur the color of her hair except what appeared to be her face, chest/ torso area, and neck. The pointed ears protruding out of the top of her head was also a bit of a shock when she observed them they laid back flat on her head.

"What happened...?" She shut her eyes looking away in a bit disgust before looking towards Apollo anger flashing over her face.

"So they used a transfiguration spell, was that it! I know I shouldn't have given them transfiguration tutoring."

 

Chloe stared at him about to speak right when he reached for one of her chocolate candies and she noticed the pile of raptors.

"Yeah, I see that. But wait you fought the werewolves? You're ok right? You weren't bit or anything were you?" She looked at him worried.

 

Chloe raised an eyebrow looking at him.

"And what exactly were you doing in the woods. In order to have saved me, you yourself must of been in the woods. As for me, I only practice at one place and it's behind Hagrid's hut, you know where magical creatures class takes place.And there werewolves have been taking students at the quidditch quad and here even on school grounds." She said in a bit of a pout.

"But I thank you for your brave rescue oh so great duelist of the great beyond." Chloe said trying to lighten his mood.

'What's wrong with him? Why is he so uptight all of a sudden?'

 

Chloe sighed.

"I don't need sleep, at this point I had too much sleep if I've been in a coma for a week, as for the potion Snape's been administering, it's fine, I'm literally halfway through an animagus form. It's not much of a big deal." Chloe said blinking.

"And you sure what you told me was everything? No offense, but you're being a bit snappy at me, and I don't understand why."

 

Chloe looked at him.

"Ok, but then promise me you won't go near the woods neither. I don't need you getting hurt or worst." Chloe told him staring at him intensely.

"You may have gotten lucky this first time, sounds like the runts were sent out, but being a top student dueler won't help you with fighting them." Chloe told him.

 

Chloe watched him leaving shaking her head and once he was out she frowned and looked outside at the snow falling.

"Oh Chloe, you're awake!" Chloe nodded as the nurse came over and spoke to her about things going on, Chloe not listening to a word she said but thinking about Apollo.

His whole body seemed so stress and she knew he was definitely up to something.

The next day, Christmas Day, Chloe was able to leave the infirmary, but with professor's gathering that morning to check on her and the spotting of McGonagall most of the students still on grounds who knew Chloe had come in while watching her open up all of their gifts to her.

"You guys are so going down." Chloe found herself walking with a bunch of other students from all the houses who played quidditch gathered together to go play the infamous Christmas Quidditch match, where teams were created by just what type of players were available, just a fun game with no rivalries as part of the spirit of Christmas, most other students would gather to watch as well, including some professors.

"Nah, no way, mate, we've got Chloe on our team, you've seen her with a quaffle." Martin the Ravenclaw beater who always had her back during quidditch matches said, for awhile he had a crush on her, but then he dropped it and became one of the biggest supporters of her and Apollo.

"She was just discharged from the infirmary, not to mention she like half cat or something."

"For your information, being discharged from the infirmary puts me at no disadvantage, it means I'll still have to go easy on you."

All the students ooo'ed when she said that to the Slytherin student who made that remark. She found herself bundled up underneath her quidditch robes. But luckily having the fur still was a nice advantage. Though it was still strange for her with the thought of fur and animal ears, a lot of the students also found it weird, some thought it was cool, some even remarked or poked fun saying they were cute while meowing at her.

Though one thing that bothered her is the fur and ears weren't of a cat, they were more like a dog, but what they really seemed like was if they were part of a wolf, that bothered her quite a bit but she ignored it.

"Hey, isn't that Apollo." Chloe's ears perked up as somebody from Hufflepuff said before breaking from the crowd and running over to him. Chloe stopped walking also noticing that it was Apollo.

"I thought he was going to meet up with us." Somebody remarked.

"He apparently told somebody that yesterday, but he wasn't fully with it, this was before Chloe was awake again. He wasn't at breakfast this morning nor was he in the common room so we just assumed he was up early practicing at the pitch already." Another Hufflepuff spoke.

Chloe looked over in interest watching the other Hufflepuff who ran over talking to him, she didn't bother to go over though.

"He'll probably join us and catch up, come on, we still need to setup." A Griffindor said as the group started to walk along, Chloe stood there though looking at Apollo as the Hufflepuff pointed back at her.

"Coming, Chloe?"

"Yeah, in a bit, I'll catch up." Chloe said as the rest of the group shrugged and they took to their brooms and flew off towards the pitch.

She watched as that Hufflepuff, got on his broom and flew off catching up with the group and when he did a few looked back towards Chloe and Apollo, shaking their head in disappointment while a few others looked toward Chloe sympathetically as she saw with her peripherals and they flew off, Chloe left standing there looking at him waiting to see her at least recognize her there.


"Mate!" The Hufflepuff, Chaz Michaels, who serves as an assistant team captain by choice of not wanting to be the captain was Apollo's best friend and a bit of a mentor. He also served as a Hufflepuff prefect letting Chloe know him quite well.

"Hey, you weren't at breakfast this morning. We thought you were maybe at the pitch already practicing since Chloe was awake again."

" I practiced before everyone woke up..." Apollo responded as the other guy grinned and chuckled putting his hand on Apollo's shoulder.

"We got that, mate, but what are you doing now, you're not even in your quidditch garb, come on we're starting at 12, it's 11:30, we're all heading there to setup. You can be on your girlfriend's team." Apollo looked at Chaz's hand pushing it off his shoulder.

"I don't feel like playing today. You guys will do fine without me."

"Don't feel like playing today," Chaz exclaimed, "when do you never feel like not playing, it's always about quidditch and dueling with you. Even your girl friend out of the infirmary is playing with today!" Chaz said taking his hand once on Apollo's shoulder and point it back to where Chloe now stood with interest a distance away.

" Chaz listen. right now i can't exactly focus on the game. there are other things that i have to focus on. Besides you'll watch her when i'm away she'll be around all of you so i'm sure you'll all take care of her while i....take care of something else"

"Really man, it's christmas day and you're just going to 'take care of something else' when your girl friend is out of the hospital on christmas day ready to play quidditch with you. I'd say her even waking up on Christmas day in as good a condition as she is should be enough of a christmas present for you especially how you've been acting since she was in her coma, but whatever, mate, I'll see ya later." Chaz said as he mounted his broom and flew up to catch up with the other group.

"He's not coming, he's being just like he's been this past week, even with his girl friend now awake." Chaz told the group not sure if Chloe or Apollo could hear him.

"Really? What's his problem?"

"Hope he doesn't treat Chloe like that..."

"Probably will, after ditching his best mate."

"Poor Chloe..."

The group spoke amongst themselves glancing down at Chloe standing there, ears laid flat on the back of her head, her facials showing that of confusion and slight let down, before they flew off towards the pitch.

Chloe stood there confused when she watched him draw his wand and cast a spell when a bunch of first year students ran past her bumping into her as they headed towards the quidditch pitch. When she looked up she saw him on his broom flying off. Quickly mounting her broom she flew off to catch up with him. She watched as he dove down into the forbidden woods.

She stopped floating in the air.

"Apollo..." She looked down before an image flashed to her mind, a vision of how she ended up in a coma. Her heart was racing. She shook her head as she flew to the ground just outside of the forbidden forest looking in.

Her heart pounding, hands shaking. She remembered everything now.

'You're mine.

She remembered the werewolf saying to her as it towered over her. She thought for sure that moment might of been her last.

She took in a breath of air and exhaled to try and calm herself before setting her broom down, digging out her wand, and walking down the path to the area. Sure enough in the distance stood Apollo. He was muttering words to himself Chloe was unable to fully make out. She stopped hiding behind a tree before watching a squirrel run into the clearing.

Apollo raised his wand pointing it towards the squirrel, he started to speak clearly and loudly, "Adava-"

Chloe's eyes widened, her mind still sharp as it quickly took over casting her own spell.

Chloe stood there and watched Apollo's wand toss into the bushes from her unspoken expelliarmus spell. She stood there breathing hard, in complete shock.

What Apollo was about to cast,
