    I think we need more features like KHInsider has such as chat rooms and games, along with frequent articles....they also have their own youtube, I think.

    I have also noticed that a majority of our visits have come from the codes for KH2.

    As much time you guys spend in that RP section you should do it with the other sections. Half the guests that visit here don't even RP so how would they know if there are other topics being openly discuss if your putting all your efforts into that RP section. This is why we don't have members that join for the DG section, this is why we don't have members that join for Entertainment, this is why we don't have members that join for kingdom hearts. And this is a kingdom hearts forum. So why am I seeing issues. It;s because you guys need to branch off that RP section. I'd bet a million dollars none of you could last a week without posting in that RP section. Try to get the other sections up to date. Other sections say
    LAST POST 2 WEEKS AGO. That's a damn fucking shame.

    I kind of agree with this, it seems like all everyone ever talks about here is the RP section and the other sections get neglected.


    Anyways for suggestions maybe we could have a sort of forum for groups? I know we have the social groups but as far as new members go I think simply having a section for groups would be easier to find and personally I'd find it more appealing than the current social groups which seem a bit cluttered at the moment.

    Demaian hit on the spot, guys. Granted I'm a huge RP'er but I post occasionally in other forums as well.

    Anyways with what you mentioned Roxas, we do have a forum like how you explained, for the Vets but vets don't use it.

    Facebook could be a viable means of attracting members, provided that current members are made aware of it, and maintain a steady activity on it. If it's on facebook, twitter, youtube... (or myspace, god forbid), people will find it somehow. Hell, it might even help us better acquaint with one another.

    As for an "ultimate rp", I was hoping my Keyblade Chronicles one could have picked up the steam to grow into something of that nature. But it probably won't happen at this point in time.

    My one suggestion: AFFILIATE! A bunch of forums out there make connections with other ones. Smaller forums piggyback with larger ones, and whatnot. I think that finding a few other, more active forums, this one might be able to pick some members out of interest. Dare I say? You should refrain from banhammering people that advertise other forums, and round them in for serious discussions about affiliations; OR you could always use such things to an advantage, and have those who go off to those forums say where they came from. I can say that I had tried, at a time, to work out an affiliation between this site and another, and was shot down in my attempt.

    My However Statement: As I've said several times in the RP section, there are certain times throughout the years in which real life hits everyone hard. I know I'm a week late to this party, but I think this argument will hold weight even so. It's September! Any inactivity that you see now will probably end come October or November as people sink into a good groove with school and such.

    Here's what I think. I want to post. I love this site. I don't injoy posting in all of the forums, like the members lounge forums. I injoy posting in the RP section, but can't because nobody EVER posts in it, and that is supposedly the most active part of the forum! I like posting in all the KH sections but nobody likes to post there either!!! I wish that every time someone got on they would post in at least one thread!!! Then I could be on this site for longer than 10 minutes at a time!!!

    Close the damn RP section for few months.

    As my interest in roleplaying died few months ago, so did my interest for the site as there wasn't too much of anything else here than RP'ing anymore.

    And today I just happened to stumble here when I noticed the place in my bookmarks.

    Why would you think closing the rp section would help. Just like you said it is the ONLY thing that's still somewhat active and you left because of their nothing else to do. All that's going to do is cause all the other membeers to leave that there will completely kill the RP section completely.

    I will say maybe for a weekend or whatever it could be closed to teach members to go to post in other sections such as writing section, or the Kingdom Hearts section, anything. Plus a while back I approached shadow about the RP section needing a cleanout anyways so that can get done too.

    For members who are complaining, this has happened before, in fact afterwards the RP section was more active along with other sections were more active afterwards, so this would be a good thing, just close it for a weekend and do a clean out of stuff.

    So close it. Make people post into other sections. Make old members come back and affiliate. Spread the word. All the basic things you can think of.

    I'm surprised that the staff didn't think this topic themselves.

    Most of us who are "growing up" tend to leave for a while because we're really busy with our lives. When we get more new members you guys just ban them because they spam like once or twice.

    I think some people who were here in the past (That were actually making somethings interesting) probably complain to others about this site, because they got banned for stupid reasons. I'm going to say this, we barely have no staff thats really active. None of you are trying to get people to come here, or add new things to the site that made it just as exciting as it was before. I like this site, and I like all of my friends here, but things tend to get old.

    No one comes back really because people seemed to have a keyblade up their @$$, being too strict to people (the new ones), and doesn't care "that" much. Staff, I know you care, but you all have to work together. Rai, you're an awesome admin, but you need to try a bit too. Welcome members and not make critic posts to people about once every month. Mix things up a bit, do what you want to do. Its not all about this site, its about Us. You can try to get people to come back at least...I know I haven't been around much lately and you don't see me to get to a higher degree of being more than just a normal member, but I just want to help. I'm not going against any of you...I'm just saying. Put your creative thoughts here and try.

    The other sections are dead :x That's why I was trying to revive them a bit with my random threads

    Actually noz there's a different between closed for a weekend versus a few months. If you look at spam city/ members lounge, it was closed for a couple months, once very active is now dead. Before it was closed for just a weekend.

    I'm not on staff anymore for that reason. I left because I simply just stopped caring. If people want to spam like hell, that ain't my problem. As long as I know that I am holding up the rules on my end, then I see no reason to give a shit about others and their rules.

    I would probably feel that way too. I mean people are going to spam either way. You can't stop them from doing it unless they're actually going to communicate to other people in the forums and will be serious about it.

    If people are actually spamming just for the fun of it. Like keep repeating them selves over and over, talking in caps, and not being on topic 15 posts later,dig it on purpose, then yeah. Go ahead and enforce the rules on them, but there are some people that will learn from their mistakes if they didn't mean to bring up a topic in the wrong section. That's fine. I'm willing to give some people a chance at least.

    Do you do that? Post a new thread every single time you log on? I'm not saying it wouldn't be a good idea if everyone did that, but honestly, I'm really tired of members whining about inactivity, when they themselves do nothing to help. You're all quick to say what staff members should be doing, or what the members should be doing. But no one ever seems to feel like doing it themselves.

    To be honest, though the idea sounds good, I don't think it would help. I think the members who normally only post in the rp section would just not bother coming on the site at all if we closed it, instead of posting in the other areas as we would want them to do.

    Yeah, we totally just ban people left and right here, for two spam posts. :rolleyes: When people are banned, we have a good reason- they have multiple accounts, they are mass advertising, or they are trolls who log on just for flaming, etc.

    We enforce the rules. If members join and don't read the rules, and break them- ie massive bumping of old posts, triple posting, and so on, they get warnings, just like a vet would get if they did the same thing. If that offends them and scares them away, that's a shame, but I don't think our rules should be that difficult to follow.

    Haven't you only been back for like a week? How could you know what the staff are or aren't trying to do? One of the biggest gripes was the complete suckage of the main site- well, Dawn's doing a good job working on that. My understanding is that TradeDemon is working on advertising this site more, as well. Hopefully that will help bring in some new members.

    But no one will want to stay if there aren't interesting threads to post in, and I'm sorry, but the staff can't do that all on their own. I try, but I can't do it all on my own, either. Make some threads for yourselves and post in other people's threads more often, then complain if the site is still boring.
