KH-3 High School

Will strode up from the cellar into the kitchen. He heard Leah. "In here." He called, sitting down and opening a coke from the fridge. He drank to ease his nervousness.

 

~Leah heard Will call for her in the kitchen. She came into the enormous kitchen and saw Will sitting down at the table drinking a soda. Which made her thirsty too after the long walk~
Leah: Ok, not what's going on that you had to call me all the way over here?

 

Will shuddered and grabbed her a coke from the fridge. He opened it with a bottle opener and handed it to her. "I needed someone to talk to." He mumbled, sipping the coke. Thoughts raced in his head. "Why did I do that to Nicole? Does she hate me now? Why did I call Leah to talk? Why did I run to the mansion?"

 

~Leah took the coke and sat down at the counter. She sipped her coke and stared at Will. She could tell by his expression that something bad must have happened between him and Nicole~
Leah: Okay, so did something happen with you and Nicole?

 

Will swallowed hard. "How the hell am I gonna explain this???" He thought, sipping the coke and tapping his fingers. He looked at her and prepared for a lecture. "I ummm... kissed her and said I loved her..." He put his head back on the counter immedeatly.

 

~Leah was surprised at what Will said. She wasn't expecting Will to do something like that, she knew that he like Nicole but didn't think he'd have the courage to do something like that.~
Leah: So what did she say?

 

He shook his head. "Said that right now wasn't the right time and that we should wait and se if we still like each other later in life but I know I love her, I have for the past year." He said sadly. He put the cold glass of the coke bottle against his head, the granite having gotten warm.

 

~Leah could see that Will was hurting. She really believed Will loved Nicole, but at the same time Nicole did just have difficult relationship and wasn't sure if she wanted to start dating again. Even if it was Will~
Leah: Well I guess all you can do is give her time and hope for the best.

 

Will nodded. "True, are you hungry?" He asked, standing, slamming the coke, and tossing the bottle into a bin. He started sifting through the freezer.

 

~Leah wasn't particularly hungry. She was still full from the meal Will cooked. Then she remembered that she hadn't told Ty that she had left the house.~
Leah: No I'm not hungry, but can I borrow your phone to call Ty? I left mine back at the house.

 

Will nodded and tossed her his phone. "Just so you know this is where I live." He said, putting a pair of hot pockets on a late and placing them in the microwave. "Glad he stocked the freezer." Will muttered.

 

~Leah caught the phone and stared at Will in shock. For as long as Leah's known Will, she's never been to his house or knew where he lived. She stared around the massive kitchen again, not believing Will lived in a mansion this big~
Leah: Why didn't you ever say you guys were rich?

 

Will shrugged. "I don't like being looked up to as the rich kid. My uncle picked this place cause I asked him to. The private property signs are his idea of a joke and he likes his privacy. He said I could invite friends but that's the reaction I was afraid of." He said, pulling the hot pockets out.

 

Leah: I can see why! This place is huge!!!! Wait, so all those times you borrowed money from me at the movies, you already had money!!!
~Leah gave Will a joking expression as he sat down and ate his hotpockets~

 

Will pulled out his wallet and pulled out two bills, sliding them across the counter. "That should cover it." He said. The bills were 50's. "Think of it as an "I think your a good friend" Gift."

 

~Leah couldn't believe Will had that much money to be giving away. She knew she couldn't accept it though, it wouldn't feel right. She slid the money back towards Will.~
Leah: Will, you know I cannot accept this, but thanks for trying to pay me back.

 

Will shrugged. "I owe you, remember? You got me a guitar when we went to the mall that one day."He said, sliding the money back. He smiled when he realized where they were in the kitchen. "He always said I had a future in bartending."

 

Will looked at Leah and whispered. "You don't tell him where you are or who's house. I don't want him to know I'm rich." He said, going back to his food. A memory of his uncle's words floated back to him. "It's not the amount of money you have, it's how you use it." Will smiled. "He always knew what's right... wish he was here to help me right now."

 

~Leah nodded and slid the money back over to Will. She didn't care what he said, she wasn't going to accept money from him no matter what. She put the phone to her ear and started talking to Ty.~
Leah: I'm fine, Ty. Just wanted to call and let you know that I went for a walk. I didn't want you to worry.
