Alright. Here's a simple one.

How can you get Ultima Weapon before visiting The World That Never Was?

 

instead of continuing on to the World when you reach the mansion you turn around, get the recipe and leave. you also need to have every Orichalcum and Orichalcum+ avialable before then. i thnik thats it, not sure though. i didn't even know it was possible without going to TWTNW

 

There's more to it. Seeing how you normally need all 7 Orichalcum+ to create Ultima Weapon, and one of the Orichalcum+ is in TWTNW.

 

You use the one gem to lessen the amount of materials you need after getting 6 of them...

 

No. You have to do that in the first place to normally get Ultima Weapon.

Yeah you can, you can gather a certain amount of items to get the last Ori+ and get Ultima Weapon. I forgot the name of the minerals though so I'm wrong.

Here's a hint. Ultima weapon normally requires 13 Orichalcum+. But, there are only a total of 7. One of them is in TWTNW. And yet, it is still possible to get Ultima Weapon before first getting to TWTNW.

 

With the material lessening gem it only requires 6!

 

No. With that crystal, not gem, it lowers the number down to 7.

 

if there are only 7 and one is at TWTNW then its impossible to make the Ultima without hacks.

Here's another hint: If you've completed Jiminy's Journal (Or at least the Synthesis portion), then you should know how to do this.

Well, when you max the Moogle level, it automatically cuts the number of required materials in half (I think...o-O?). So maybe you just have to level up as high as you can and combined with the Energy material it would take less materials to make the Ultima Weapon...

This is probably completely wrong, because I'm not sure if maxing up the Moogle level cuts the material requirements in every synthesizing item. xD;;

And it is impossible. You are required to have Magnega to beat Atlantica (and get the Orc plus) and you get that against Xigbar (Luxord in Final Mix)

 

no, i went and looked it up. Crimson is right, when the moogle is max level then its possible to make the Ultima without all 7 Orichalcum+.

When the moogle reaches it's max level, all S-Rank synthesis creations (Ultima Weapon included) need only half the materials. So if you max the moogle's level, Ultima Weapon will normally require 7 Orichalcum+. And if you use the Energy Crystal (Or Bright Crystal, I forget which one), the amount of Orichalcum+ required is lowered to 4.
