KHP's Artist of the Week

I'll be taking over KHP's Artist of the week until further notice. I'll be basing my list of the songs I hear during work until more input by members are heard (so then I could move on to something which more and more people like).

    Bullet For My Valentine

Constantly being played recently, I thought I'd throw this band in as well as having the knowledge that a number of members here do actually like Bullet for my Valentine.
Bullet for my Valentine are a thrash metal band with "harmony guitars and big angelic choruses" (according to the lead singer, Tuck). With lighting quick shredding and perhaps "demonic" vocals as well, this band has quickly rised to popularity from when they had officially started in 2005 with their album "The Poison"

Bullet for my Valentine- Waking the Demon
Bullet for my Valentine- One Last Fight

Double Post, yes. But I'm trying to keep this alive.

All the songs at work kinda fail for me so I'm throwing a personal favourite for the time being.

    Blue Stahli

Drum and bass, electronico-rock err. Forget genre's, this is pretty sick. From multi instrumental user, Bret Autrey, brings Blue Stahli. Another project (with a direction towards electronic rock) which is rising to popularity.
He makes music. No need to explain, just listen, feel and get into it.

Well, I only listened to one song from each of them. I liked Bullet For My Valentine okay. Heard them before, I'm pretty sure (I am terrible at remembering artists). Blue Stahli, I think I'd have to be in the mood for. I mean, it was pretty cool listening to the one song, but I think I'd get tired of it if I were to just sit and go through a whole album.

  4. GrandShadow

    GrandShadow I accept your challange.

Deliver us From Evil and Your Betrayel
those are my favorite songs from them.

  5. Goldfish

    Goldfish Cats in the Cradle

Starting to get an idea of favourites, but after this band, I'll be choosing bands and artists based on themes/genres.

    Killswitch Engage

Blasting off with their first album in 2000, Killswitch Engage did not start out very well (lacking media attention) but did catch the attention of some producers to help them rise through to popularity afterwards. They rose very high in 2004 with their third album, The End of Heartache, which had also involved a new drummer and vocalist. Don't judge just from that though, With the previous bands vocalist, they had made two excellent albums that just never got exposed out there to everyone's ears.
A metalcore band with many haters but many more lovers using their instruments and vocals to rock this bitch up.

My Last Serenade (w/ first vocalist, Jesse Leach)

Arms of Sorrow (w/ second vocalist, Howard Jones)
