I think at this point we're just waiting on KoD. There's not much more I can do without him.

@King of Darkness do you need me to send Kelianne to Sophia?

I recommend either Kelianne and Sophia meeting up, or Sophia checking on Deimos. Become or I can proceed from there. I think Vox's boy is Deimos' room too

I was waiting for DW to post at the very least and then I can do that because I've already posted.

I was afraid of that. Especially since I already mentioned that there's nothing I can really contribute to the story as the next one to post. I'll take a stab at something though, if only to get the ball rolling again.

The following character sheet will be developed as the character progresses through the RP.

    Name: "Faustus"
    Born of: Darkness
Age: Unconfirmed; the handful of people that know him well enough surmise his timeline runs back at least fifty years.

Appearance: Faustus is a peculiar specimen in that he, at this point in time, seems to lack many consistent physical features. As much as his associate(s) have seen of him, he consists solely of a shrouded, dark mass, able to flow and morph relatively freely into different iterations of forms, while still having enough mass and density to remain unaffected by the forces that would normally disrupt one of his apparent substance. He often appears to adorn an unnecessarily large and grandiose cloak, which only perpetuates any uncertainty of his appearance. In its most striking feature, the cloak flows as freely as the rest of his form appears to, and seems, almost, to be as much a part of his form than his actual body.

Albeit frequently altering elements of his build, such as his size, he most frequently presents himself as standing at a of roughly 6’2” in height, suiting the typical height of an adult male. This height tends to see his posture and overall anatomical outline looking its most natural, having a far more decisive motion, and one that is far more human to the observer. Only the vaguest outline of a face can be made out beneath the hood of his cloak, alluding to a somewhat gaunt complexion. The only distinctive feature to escape the darkness of his masking is a pair of harsh, cold, yellow eyes.

Powers & Abilities: To say that Faustus is a practitioner of Darkness would be an understatement if anything. Not merely one to manipulate and channel Dark Magics, he seems to be at a most natural oneness with the Darkness, easily bending it, melding with it and integrating Darkness and the Shadows themselves into his being at his own discretion. He appears to have an absolute control over the current substance of his body, shifting it into the forms and densities he desires without issue. His entire form, at this point in time, appears to be on the middle ground between solid, liquid and gas, having both density, malleability and a general immunity to physical assaults. He has something of a demonic and vampiric propensity, having inhabited and drained several bodies over the years as a means of temporary sustenance.

Weaknesses: A being purely of Darkness, Fuastus is a wreck when pitted against Light and its inherent magic. Furthermore, he is far from his full strength, and, though capable in combat, is reliant entirely on his cunning rather than raw power.

History: The exact details of Faustus’ past aren’t entirely certain. Beyond the general and therefore more vague nature his circumstance, neither his own words, nor observable evidence has shed much light on his origins and his earlier life. Few people outside of those he’s chosen as his allies are even aware of his existence, much less knowledgeable of him on any personal level. By his own assertion, he is a “mere shadow” of his former self, and is “seeking to regain proper form.” He seems to have some good knowledge of the “Old Wars” between Light and Darkness, much of which he regales in a first-hand manner, suggesting that he was, at one point, involved in the conflicts himself.

@King of Darkness can we arrange a time and place for Keli to finally catch up with Sophia? Preferably in a manner befitting to a Guardian.

  11. Key King

    Key King Member

    Name: Palmund "The Grey"

Born of: (Light or Darkness) Light

    Age: 43

Personality: His loud voice, wide grin, and infectious laugh, along with his friendly and often carefree nature draws most people to him. He is exceptionally curious and because of this rather smart. Generally, he is well-liked.

    Appearance: [IMG]
    Weapon(s): [IMG]

Powers, abilities, and strengths: Palmund's abilities lie in a good balance between offense and defense. He is not one for magic typically, and prefers to rely on his skills in combat. His strengths are mainly the vast amount of tricks he's picked up from his years of travel all across the realm. He is an excellent fighter with his sword and shield, and makes up for his lack of skill in magic with raw talent in battle.

    Divine Light-
Briefly enchants the caster's armor and weaponry, giving them an almost godlike shine. Increases the strength of attacks and the durability of armor, but heavily drains its user, especially if used for extended periods of time. Rarely used by Palmund unless the situation is do or die.

Sanctuary- A glowing dome envelops a varying range around the caster, with space enough for an again varying amount of people. Should sanctuary be cast around a large range, it is automatically weaker than if it covers a small range. For it to remain as durable, it will drain the user far more, with power usage also increasing with the blows it reflects from enemies.

Weakness: Palmund is not an exceptional user of magic. He can hold spells out for longer periods of time than many casters, but his abilities are hardly anything to brag about, a fact that has been a thorn in his side for as long as he can remember. His other weaknesses are his advancing age, which, although he is a skilled warrior and tactician, makes him slower and less durable than fighters much younger than he is, and finally his protectiveness of others. While he is a balanced fighter, his willingness to put himself in harms way for the sake of others is a weakness that has led to his defeat before. When he is in charge, he will always avoid large bloodshed on his side, and in closer terms will risk himself for his comrades.

    Bio:
Born the youngest brother of The King of Light, Palmund was always odd for a member of the royal family. He spent much of his time with common people of the castle, making friends with all the guards and servants, and preferring to wrestle and fight with sticks than endure etiquette than learn the names of Lord what's-his-face and Lady whosit. Also, his nickname stemmed from not only his early-graying hair, but actually more from his interest in the culture of Darkness. While he is a staunch supporter of his family and the Light, Palmund studied the Darkness as a youth, and, following his duties during the war, traveled across the Kingdom of Darkness, learning all about its people and history. While this earned him many a scowl and hushed, tavern-born criticism, he did the same thing for his own kingdom before the war broke out, studying the Kingdom of Light just as deeply. His knowledge of the lands as well as their people, made many people like him, and few treat him as a royal.

Still, Palmund was a royal, and was raised as such. He was taught to fight, something he greatly excelled at, and was given a formal education. Though he did not do so well in his study of magic or mathematics, he was an excellent fighter and took great interest in history. His brother, The King, was often called jealous of Palmund's relationship with the people, but those were simply rumors. Still, few in the royal family cared for Palmund's sense of wanderlust, causing a distance between him and the Lords and Ladies around him, the King himself included.

When the Kingdom of Twilight came about, and he had finished his tour of the darkness, Palmund stayed at the castle for some time, wishing to experience the new kind of culture in a place his sense of grey blended in. Because of this he grew close with Sophia when she was a girl, and though he had to leave the Kingdom to return to his duties, he always returned with trinkets from his travels.

Following the deaths of the rulers of the twilight, Palmund urged his brother to keep the peace with the Kingdom of Darkness, a request that went primarily unheeded, straining their relationship further. When the pair was killed, The King of Light seized the opportunity to tie up all the loose ends.

Because he worried for his granddaughter, he sent a small number of troops to the Kingdom of Twilight, attempting to buy her love under the guise of protecting her, while also tipping the scales of the castle guards' allegiance. Since he knew the soldiers would never be accepted, he sent Palmund as its leader, a face he knew Sophia and the guardsmen could not say no to. By doing so, he put his own men near his granddaughter and her castle, put Palmund in a place where his constant rejection of The King's plans were useless, as well as giving him a duty that would keep him tied down, at least briefly, and made it seem a feasible reaction under the circumstances.

    Theme:

Special Note: I don't know the King of Light's last name if that ever becomes a problem lol

It's good to be back :)

    Name: Thalia

    Born of: Darkness

Age: Exact age unknown, late teens/early twenties.

Personality: A quiet, taciturn young woman, Thalia speaks very little. Not because she can't, but because she simply doesn't want to. She's hard to crack, but when she is, Thalia becomes very sensitive, and will usually try to escape the situation altogether rather than reciprocate. She acts only when she feels she absolutely has to.

Appearance: http://i.imgur.com/sesIZTR.png - Her most noticable and obvious features, are the scales, horns, and tail that adorn her small frame. Though those darker aspects might hint to a sinister character, the gentle features beneath them imply a different nature- though, those aren't often noticed. Her blue eyes have a cyan cast that seems to glimmer or reflect in the light.

Weapon(s): http://i.imgur.com/OuMUkdZ.png - Thalia's sole weapons are two brass blades. Hardly any collector's piece, hell, they look like they came from the smithy ages ago. But, regardless of their worn appearence, it can be noticed that their wielder has kept them proper and sharpened. Not like that's particularly hard to do, as they almost never see any use. Deadly as they may be, the girl barely fights, let alone draw her knives.

Powers, abilities, and strengths: Though her small frame and years learning to fend for herself have given Thalia a proficiency in combat, mostly with knives or fists, but a sword or other similar weapons would not be foreign to her, the young woman's true ability lies in the potency of her Dark powers. Her past, and the history of her unnatural appearance, has imprinted Thalia with a touch of Darkness slightly more aspected than most- though, she hates and resents this. She doesn't even want to think about this power, let alone use it, to the point that she doesn't even know what it can do.

Weakness: Her greatest weakness is perhaps her own insecurities. Even if she is faced with a challenge or foe she could easily overcome, she will often choose to flee instead, especially if they taunt or demean her. She tries to never let her anger get the best of her, and combat will only be an option, if it's the only option.

Bio: Thalia was born in the Realm of Darkness. Her parents were acolytes of the Dark, striving to always gain more and more power. This left the girl generally ignored by her parents, and it was a few years before they ever really considered her existence. Unfortunately for her, this attention was only because of the devious plans Thalia's parents had for her. They had a way to achieve the power they craved, and it was to use their own daughter as an expedient for their ritual. She was to be their sacrifice.

Thalia was forced to be a surrogate of Darkness, sating her parents' desire. But, even the life force of another was not enough to magnify the power they wanted. They needed more, and the nearest targets were eachother. The two fought over who would gain power, and who would die, until eventually, they both fell to the other's hand. All this happened before the young girl's eyes.

By the deaths of the ones binding her, Thalia was freed from the hold of Darkness before her body was fully consumed, but the damage that was done was permanent. She no longer appeared like a normal human. Instead, a tail sprouted from her back, horns replaced her ears, scales were ridden across parts of her flesh, and her eyes took on an unearthly shimmer. She was, in her eyes, a monster.

She wanted to be angry, to scream and yell, but she saw what anger did to her parents. What greed and hatred contorted them to. Instead, she cried, and walked away. She walked among the shadows, away from sight, out of mind. Thalia just wanted to be invisible. Occasionally she would accidentally run into someone, but they would just stare in horror or disgust. Even to the denizens of the Dark Realm, she was inhuman.

Thalia never learned anything from someone directly, she only watched, listened from a distance. She would watch others fight, and defended herself from whatever creatures or criminals didn't flee upon seeing her. She would see how normal girls would dress and vanity themselves, and try to do the same for herself, despite her disfiguring features. Her knives were an old pair she'd taken from some shop, her clothes a random collection of items she would find or steal, and her food came from wherever she could manage. Thalia was, all in all, a ghost. Nonexistent to the world.

Then, a certain conversation rang in her horns. One of the Realm of Light and the Realm of Darkness making reaching a truce. She had heard of the people of the Light before, and dreamt of such a place. But with the hostile nature between her world and theirs, it was impossible. But now, with the creation of a world made where the two could meet, her fantasy could come true. She had to carefully hide any sort of obvious, scaley features, but she boarded the first Gummi she could to this new land, and found it flourishing.

She tried to reveal herself to some of those from the Realm of Light. Surely they would be kind-hearted enough to see her beneath the monstrosity, right? But.. upon seeing her vile appearance, everyone she encountered turned her away, calling her a fiend of the Darkness. It seemed as though nobody would accept her. She was a blemish on this perfect new world.

As Thalia returned to her typical life- that of simply not existing, in this place of Light and Dark, she repeatedly heard of this girl called "the Princess." Everything she heard of this girl was about the purity of her heart, and the cheerfulness that she exemplified. With every passing story, Thalia more and more desired one thing: she wanted to meet Princess Sophia. Surely she would not turn the young woman away, if she too showed Thalia resentment, then there couldn't be a soul in the realm that wouldn't.

It wasn't easy for Thalia to find the Princess's location, given that questions weren't her forte, but when she finally did, she made her way as fast as she could. She knew not what terrible acts had been committed not long ago, nor that tensions between the worlds were rapidly growing, she knew only that she wished to meet Sophia Keeth.

    Theme: None

Special Note: Her lack of any surname is due to her lack of any real family. She never really belonged, so she never had a name to take on. Also, her powers of Darkness aren't that much powerful than most citizens of the Realm of Dark, especially since she has disregarded her use and training of them, but her potential is relatively higher, at least to some degree.

Well Deimos1 (Sophia's guardian) has just entered the castle from a courtyard and should be meeting with Palmund.

Kalianne and Raven have just left the infirmary and are on their way into town.

Sophia, Jordan and Jordan's Diemos are in the town market.

Kate and Kousei are in the castle, the former having just been broken out of confinement.
