This is true haha, I thought the only important spirits in the movie, well in my opinion were the fishes :),

I saw it. A movie on its own, it was alright. But when it is compared to the series.... Yeah....

Anyways, I think that they're gonna need at least six movies. Not one movie per season. Here's why *SPOILER*They forgot Suki! And more importantly, they forgot King Bumi!*Spoiler* There is too much for them to be able to do it properly in three movies.

As for things that bugged me.

    1. It has been said before, but I'll say it again. How they pronounced the names. That really bugged me.
    2. Firebending needs a source. While a decent idea on its own, it makes it a bit difficult to think that the Fire Nation was winning a war when they can't make their own fire.
    3. *Sozin's Comet comes in 3 years, not end of summer. And while it makes Firebenders stronger, I don't think that they'd be as strong with the comet as they are in the series.*
    4. Some of the actors. I remember when people were complaining about the actors not being Asian or something. But reflecting upon the movie, I would actually have preffered an all white cast. Ozai didn't look at all threatening in the movie. And Zuko.... I'm not sure if the actor managed to get in all his anger properly.
    5. *Aang wasn't possessed by the Ocean Spirit. Although they made an alright change to Zaho's death*
    6. Bending in general. It is inconcievable that bending managed to survive with such an influence. They spend five minutes dancing around to just do one thing. Although Aang's fight with Zuko was better. Not so much dancing.
    7. Aang's master. In the movie, he was not an awesome old guy. He was some bald guy in his 30s or so.

Although, one of my favorite parts was *When the Moon Spirit was killed. Iroh gets so pissed off that he makes his own fire. And then the Fire Nation troops are all like 'Oh shit! He's making his own fire! Run away!'

Definitely. When I saw it, I tried not to compare it to the show as much as possible, which isn't my norm, since I'm usually the biggest pain in the ass nitpicker. But if you don't sit there and think the whole time "Sokka doesn't look like that in the show. The Kyoshi warriors should have been here, like the show. Why did Aang say that line here, he should have said it here" and so on, I think as a movie it is decent. Not a great movie, but not the gawd-awful movie people are making it out to be. Of course, the entire summer has been pretty much full of mediocre movies, anyhow, from what I can tell.

I think with an extra half hour or so, Book 1 would have succeeded as one movie. I'd support splitting the other books into two movies, but the problem I have is that I don't see good places to split them. So I'd say just make two more movies, but make them 2 1/2 to 3 hour movies. I think most fans would sit for that.

    SPOILER
They did that because of the production schedule. Lil' Noah Ringer won't stay a cute 12 year old forever. But it does sort of lessen the importance of the comet, and the amount of work Aang had to do. It gives Aang a lot more time to slack off. END SPOILER

Is that sarcasm? I can't tell. >_< The scene was sort of nice in that it showed off some of Iroh's awesomeness, but I wanted to see him kick some serious ass. When I saw that scene in the trailers, I thought there'd be more after it, and there wasn't. It was a let down for me.

    SPOILER
I'm actually kind of surprised that made it into the movie. It seemed a little dark for a PG rated film. I wonder what some of the mommies in the audience thought about that, lol. END SPOILER

I think we're supposed to think that their industry made up for it- their tanks and other warlike machinery. But yeah, they seem like wusses compared to the Fire Nation from the show.

As an update, so far TLA has made 115.1 million in the US and 20 million overseas. Come on, sequel!

No, I'm being serious. It was his CMoA for the movie, doing something no other Firebender could do. Although I was dissapointed that he didn't say to Zaho 'Whatever you do to that spirit, I shall unleash upon you one hundred fold' (Or something like it. Can't remember the line). It would have been a great thing for Iroh to beat down everybody once he made the fire, but Iroh didn't do much (If any) fighting in the first season.

With that part of the movie, the dissapointing thing (Besides lack of Ocean Spirit awesomness) was Katara's and Zuko's fight. It was too short. One fireball (At night of all times), and she's down.

Agreed. If she hadn't had to dance so much before actually bending, she might have been able to block both of those fire blasts. Am I a bad person because I laughed when she hit that tree? That fight did nothing to showcase Katara's status as a waterbending master. Also a missed opportunity for "You little peasant. You found yourself a master, didn't you?" from Zuko.

Sorry, sometimes it's hard to tell. I've read so many shit reviews, it's odd to hear something nice about the movie, lol. Yeah, I agree that it was a Crowning Moment of Awesome, though I think it could have been more awesome. And yes, I too missed the "Whatever you do to that spirit, I shall unleash on you ten fold (I think it was). Let it go, now!" *sigh* I hate when adaptations simply regurgitate lines from the source material *coughtwilightfilmscough*, but there were so many good lines from the show that could, and should, have been included. Especially since the dialogue for the movie in general was lacking.

    SPOILER

Since I never did mention my favorite parts, I don't think, I personally loved the entire Blue Spirit sequence. That was my favorite episode of the entire first season, possibly even the entire show, and I thought it was pretty damn epic, despite some of the plot changes to it. And I also loved the Zuko/Aang interactions in the end, from Zuko talking about his life while Aang's coming back from the spirit world, to their brawl (with a few scenes where TV Aang really shined through), to the "You'll be safe from the waterbenders here... I enjoyed escaping with you... we could be friends, you know" from Aang. But of course, I'm a Zuko fangirl- and loved just about everything about him in this movie.

    END SPOILER
