Pokemon Amethyst Version - OOC and SU

    Vox we'll be going as all one big team. If needed the team can split into smaller groups on the journey because I really wasn't expecting this many people.

    Everybody is accepted, however I need some people to back track. I was weary of this when I first saw it pop up, but for your starters, please no shinies. And even then, remember shinies are extremely rare and don't pop up often unless you go looking for them. So please even throughout the journey do not have it that every pokemon you find are shinies. But anyways those with shiny starters, they can't be shinies.

    Question before we get too deep in: will our starters (or any Pokemon we get for that matter) have access to Hidden Abilities? Or do we just get the one?

    I only put up shiny because that's was a pokemon i have in Pokemon X Y, but doesn't matter i'll catch me a shiny eventually!!

    I don't see too much of a problem with the hidden ability matter. Of course though I personally would rather see the hidden abilities kick in only after an attachment has been grown more and well the trainer and pokemon equivalent become stronger. But yeah hidden abilities are possible.

    Also KoD, you need to change your post. This is supposed to mirror the games and for that matter Pokemon Origins anime. I.E. You don't have a pokemon yet. And you won't get a pokemon until Professor Cypress gives you one.

    Well yea but the first pokemon we all get is the one from the laboratory. it's just kind of part of the story. So you'll have to tweak it. like my character he has a pikachu at home that isnt really " his" but it'll come into place later you can play it off something like that.

    Also I updated the who's in list and realized, how many people we have. Though I planned for everybody to travel together all at once, but we may need to do what Vox asked about and suggested. Therefore, I'm think I might split Amethyst into 2 Teams, depending on interest too as well will be how I place the two teams.

    Solid team right there. It's probably about to go down between Krimson and Darrick. I'll hold off on my questions until I've seen your next post. I imagine things will be pretty straightforward for the first leg of the journey. If anyone on my team has any plot stops they'd like to make along the way, just let me know; I'll have a few of my own.

    Team 2 doesn't always mean second best! :)
    ((^Partially kidding with that statement. I won't be that seriously into actually competing with the other team)).

    By the way, what did everybody do when picking moves for their Pokemon? Just pick moves available to them at that level? Or just weak moves that would be more fitting towards a low leveled Pokemon?

    I'm wondering since one of the moves I picked for Gible (Dragon Rage) isn't learned until Lvl. 7. That, and it will one-shot everybody else's Pokemon at the moment.

    You should pick the moves available at that level and one egg move if you please. In addition as you go out moves will develop as level and as you obtain TMdisk you can teach it to your pokemon.

    Oh snap, Krimson and Derrick are on the same team? Should be interesting. And with TM discs, how are we doing that? Re-usable or one use and that's it?

    Re-usable. As I said this is supposed to replicate the games and Origins anime as much as possible. It's not going to replicate the anime featuring Ash.

    Don't mean to be that guy, but Riolu shouldn't have jumped two levels from that battle with Zorua. Just throwing that out there. Unless leveling up is dependent on us, as long as we don't go overboard.

    I based it off the game. In the game every time I've battled the rival it ends up jumping up to level 7.

    Every game I've played, the starter only bumps up by one level at best from the first rival battle. The exception to this is in the games where I've already been able to battle with the Pokemon before the rival battle. Generally speaking, going from level five, the experience allotted shouldn't be enough to quite make level 7.

    However, I'm inclined to say that the battle seems to have been won on the steam of auto hitting (and minor god moding; unless it's been prearranged with Angel for Sara-Kate to lose the battle. Whichever the case, the battle system for this RP will have to be adjusted a little bit to accommodate role playing rules.

    I frankly don't know how HP or hits are decided. In this case, three hits decided the match. How that conclusion came about is beyond me?

    Oh well.
