Redemption's Side

Rush was sort of amazed at what technology could do nowadays, when he took of his arm it could only make him feel awkward but he tried his best not to show it. "Well, if thats the case call me Rush Ransom, former soldier of Sadsio's kingdom, I'm a weapons specialist and martial artist." said Rush.

 

Rush saw Zechali back away as he told him of his past as Sadiso's soldier, he sighed before saying "Listen... I did things in the past that I regret with all my heart up until this day, but today, my goal is to repent by putting my life on the line to repent..." said Rush as he followed Zechali.

 

Ezzie nudged her horse with her feet, urging it to go. But it wouldn't budge it knew better than to step foot in the forest. She bent her torso down so she was eye to eye with the horse "Don't be a baby," she said and shook her head. The horse let out a quiet neigh and stepped forward, slowly at first then faster as they made it into the forest. It was dark. Almost too dark to see, it seemed as if there were a thick fog all aroud just floating in the air. A few bugs flew by her face and she heard some leaves rustle, probably just an animal she thought. Who knew what was in here it was all so new to her, she wanted to explore, to find out every secret of this place. They say evil lurks here in the forest, hiding in the trees waiting for it's victim. But to Ezzie it didn't seem so bad. It was ugly, that's for sure but not too scary looking. They trotted along, seeing all sorts of weird animals, plants, and vines. It seemed like the trees almost had faces, like they were staring at her. She quickly looked away trying not to look back at any of them. Then they came to a little stream but the water was black, at least she thought it was water. She got off her horse and demanded he stayed there, if she lost him in this forest she was sure not making it back out. Walking over to the stream, she felt a little uneasy, it was like someone was watching her and she looked around. No one was there as she suspected.

As she finally made it to the stream she bent down and looked over the water, she could see her distorted reflection in it. It made her face look different, like she wasn't herself she thought she even looked like a demon for a second. She shivered at the thought of it and reached down to stick her hand in. As soon as one finger was in she pulled it back out as fast as she could. The water was boiling hot, it had burned her finger and steam was coming off. She gasped at the sight and winced a little. What is this stuff? What is wrong with this forest? And in the moment she knew she should not have come. Ripping a little bit of cloth from her shirt, she wrapped up her finger and got back on the horse. She commanded the horse to gallop and it did, as fast as it could. She tried her hardest to hold on but her hand burned too bad and she could only hang on with one hand. Before she knew it her horse went tumbling to the ground and so did she. It seemed as though a vine had wrapped itself around one of the horse's legs and pulled it down. "What the hell?!" She screamed and tried to unwrap it from her horse then one came out and grabbed her arm, and another on her leg. "Let me go!" She screamed as loud as she could. She kicked and pulled and she was starting to lose feeling from it being so tightly wrapped around her. "Help!" She yelled through the forest but she knew nobody was there. No one was coming for her.

 

Suddenly out of nowhere, a fire ball shot through the forest. The fire ball added so much light. It caught fire to the vines surrounding the horse and the girl burning the vines. The vines quickly shriveled up doing no harm though to the horse and the girl.

Standing at the top of a hill stood a woman with an interesting silhouette. She had long hair and pointy ears and her body seemed to glow up on that hill adding light to the forest not normally there but on closer evaluation it was not so much the interesting woman glowing but a strange staff in her hand.

The horse quickly rolled up and panicked began to run off before the woman stepped in front of the horse staring it down.

'Calm down, you have nothing to worry about.' The woman spoke telepathically in the animals mind and quickly like that the horse calmed down the woman raising her hand up and petting the nose of the horse reaching into her pocket and pulled out and apple giving it to the horse to eat it.

Slowly the woman turned to the girl still laying on the ground.

"And why is somebody like you here in the woods." The woman spoke coming into view for the young girl and kneeling down next to her. The woman was clearly beautiful and appeared quite wise as well but also tough like a warrior. The woman looked at the girls wrapped hand before reaching behind her and pulling out a potion and taking the girl's hand about to pour it on her hand.

"Especially a girl with a heart and aura as light as you're, in fact you're practically a pure being which unfortunately do not exist anymore." The woman spoke.

 

It all happened so fast, in a blur the vines were burned and they were free. The woman poured something on her hand and she jerked it back, not knowing what it was. But it healed her and she took the cloth off of her hand. Who was this woman? Why is she in these woods? She was so confused and she was still a little shaken from the whole event that just happened. Slowly, she stood up using the groud for support and eventually grabbing onto the woman when she thought she was going to fall. She finally looked at the woman studying her up and down. She was different from other people, she looked strange. "Thank you," she muttered and looked down to the ground. Then her words about her heart and aura being light what was that supossed to mean? She'd never heard of such a thing. But as she was afraid to ask she decided she needed to go. "I'm sorry about this, I shouldn't have come here." She walked away from the woman and began to mount the horse, but he backed away from her, obviously still a little spooked. "I really need to go," she spoke looking back at the woman then grabbing the horse by his bridle and leading him away.

 

Rush sighed, even though he actually knew where the village was he tried to hide it, one day when he was about twelve he had gone on a killing spree in that village, the memories played over and over in his head reminding him of his past. "Um, so Zechali, exactly how far away is this village?" asked Rush.

 

"Um..." muttered Rush as he saw the android now scattered into pieces, "I'm not exactly sure I know how to put you back together... but I'll try..." said Rush as he collected the limbs and parts off the floor. He then picked up Zechali's head and placed them all on a flat surface. There were at lest 50 pieces and Rush didn't know where to start. "So... exactly how do I put you back together.

OOC: Um... if your Character falls apart just by rolling down a hill what will he be like in battle...

 

"...Okay... got it !" said Rush in a triumphant voice as he managed to reattach the android's head back to it's body, Rush then went on to reattach his arm to the torso as well. "So... if we find a mage in the village we will be able to give you some more life energy, correct?" asked Rush in a curious tone.

 

"..." Rush thought for a bit before facing Zechali, "I don't think anything needs a heart in order to feel in my opinion... but even if that's the case i think a robot can have a heart..." said Rush as he got up. "But right now I think our main focus should b finding that mage and getting you some life energy." said Rush.

 

As Ezzie walked away from the woman she looked back a few times she was honestly a little firghtened by her. How did she makes that fire and what did she use on her burns? She'd never seen anything like at. And her aura and heart? She had no idea what any of that was supossed to mean. Maybe the woman was just crazy she thought. As she lead the horse he began to calm down enough for her to mount him and began to trot through the forest. It was then that she realized she had no idea where they were or how to get out.

There were so many noises, the leaves rustled, small animals squeaked and slithered and she could have sworn she even heard a faint scream from far away. Again, she felt like she was being watched so she put her hood back up and covered her body with the cloak. It seemed like they were walking for hours but in reality it was probably only a few minutes. Everywhere she turned it all looked the same it was like they were going in circles but she knew for sure they were heading straight. Sshe pulled on the reins and slowed the horse to a stop to look around for awhile, seeing nothing. Sighing she leaned down to rub the horse's neck "What are we gonna do?" she whispered to him.

 

"The dark forest does that..." Sitting up in the tree was the woman. She jumped down in front of the horse.

"I didn't get to properly introduce myself and vice versa." The woman spoke.

"My name is Avila. I can help you if you ask for it, but I must advise you, you may not want to return back to your village and/or your kingdom. That is until you're ready to reclaim it." The woman, Avila said waving her hand in the air walking off slowly.

 

"Hey, wait a second... that really hurts you know !!!" said Rush as he felt his wrist being crushed before they finally stopped in front of the village, "Whoa... it got bigger..." said Rush before looking at a stream, the water was muddy but it would most likely get more clear as they followed it. "Hey Zechali, you look for the mage I'm gonna follow this and see if I could find some water." said Rush to the android.
